By far the best console ever made cause it broke its own rules. Its later games did things people thought the Genesis wasn't capable. It went up against big bad Nintendo with a less powerful system. The Gen always had a dark edge about itself while Nintendo reminded me of fluffy clouds.

The early Genesis titles had a certain graphic type and sounds that are unique and have a vibe you dont see today. Sega Genesis is like 94 hiphop

love the Genesis, i also loved Super Nintendo but heres some of my fave from Genesis

1. Mortal Kombat 3 Ultimate (Genesis had MK series on lock)
2. Rocket Knight Adventures
3.Gunstar Heroes - one of the best games of all time any console period.
4. Streets of Rage 2
5. Sonic and Knuckles (Sonic series in general)
6. Revenge of Shinobi and Shinobi III
7. Earthworm Jim
8. Toe Jam & Earl
9. Altered Beast
10. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Hyperstone Heist
