It has everything to do with these threads. If people aren't going to take the time to narrow their list down to five, what's the point of calling this a top 5 thread?
I'm just saying, if you have to just choose five you put thought into those five, reflect on each song, how much you like, etc. If people just list all their favorites then it's just typing with no thought... so maybe you should just change the name of the thread if people listing 5 is not the purpose of it.

It's hard to narrow it down to five with many of these artists. Today if you ask me my Top 5 from a given artist it'll likely change in several days. I'm sure you feel the same way.

I do feel the same way KJ, but if people aren't going to try to narrow it down to five and put any thought into it, why should anyone else. Let's just list as many songs as we want with no real thought into rank, etc.

I don't make any rules Dunce Powell. Merely suggestions. When I see you post 20 songs in every thread and claiming X rapper is great, I could list 2000 songs I just skip over it because you didn't put any thought in it. That's all I'm saying. People are free to do what they want.

actually your not saying a damn thing as usual...and a bunch of heads list more than 5 songs on most of these threads...and I guess because the dude that thinks that TJ Swann was never relevant but Andre Nickatina is the GOAT says that people should do something then I guess it should be done huh???

LMAO^^^^^^^^^^^^
I put thought into all my list. I go back and double check a good amount of songs to make sure they make the cut. But sometimes I have to list a few honorable mentions. The top 5 I list is the Top 5 though.

The only thing I really care about is that people are listing their favs whether or not they have it narrowed down to 5 or not. Along with the tournaments, this is my favorite forum topic.

Duly noted KJ and Kev. Like I said, it's no biggie. I think 6-7-even 8 aren't too bad. And I think Kev's system of listing his top five and marking the honorable mentions is even better. I just think some people really take it to the extreme.

I love the track, from the Eye of The Tiger sample to the fire verses from Jigga, Danze, and Fame it's a banger! Their debut album is dope but I like Warriorz and FF4L more.

I put it on mine... Jay-Z drags the song down imo, I wish M.O.P. would have gotten a hold of that beat first.

Same for me. I try to narrow it down to 5, but sometimes 6 or 7 is necessary. With M.O.P., I had to list some that I hadn't seen, and wasn't expecting to see on people's lists. Honestly, I thought I'd be the only one to list 4 Alarm Blaze, and figured I'd see Cold As Ice on few lists also.
As far as 4 Alarm Blaze goes, there's only one word I can say about it. Teflon.
