It really hurts to have to pick a best rapper in this one but I had to give the nod to Prodigy, Bun B has as many good verses, but more wack verses. I've always liked Havoc on the boards but he's nowhere near Pimp C in production, IMO. Then again, dem Country Rap Tunes is what we like Down in the Souf, lol. I would have picked Diamonds and Wood against Shook Ones II, though. Either way, my vote would have been the same.

I don't think Bone Thugs, 3-6 Mafia, or the Outlawz are as good as UGK (especially not the latter two) but The Roots fuckin SLAUGHTER them. I'd also take Brand Nubian over them too. Goodie Mob is on par with them.

I never said that UGK was in my Top 10. I just don't think 3-6 or Outlawz are even on the same hemisphere as the Pimp and The Bun.

Now, I do agree with some of these points. Without saying that Sadat and Puba are shells of their former selves, Brand Nubian will always be known for the classic "One For All" album, as well as classic singles like "Punks Jump Up To Get Beat Down" and "Don't Let It Go To Your Head", however, they're nowhere near as legendary or on the same "playing field" as UGK. I'm a fan of both though.
