All of the below at some point or another are or were known as the rapper you do not want to rap after. Out of these rappers rank who steals the show the most to the least out of their guest appearances?
Then vote on who the best on the show stealing tip period.

Method Man
Busta Rhymes
Eminem
Mystikal
Dre 3000
Bun B
Jay-Z
DMX
RA The Rugged Man
Ice Cube

I'd say Em wins based on this list, but there's a lot of guys missing.

Probably Eminem...but I want to say Andre too because of his verse on Throw Some D's remix, but given the guest artists on that track it wouldn't be too hard to steal that show.

AZ is the definition of Show Stealer for me based on just one verse, the Life's A Bitch verse.A guest verse was the best verse on Illmatic. Better than any Nas verse I have heard, and better than any AZ verse I heard since. He didn't do a whole lot since then but as far as a show stealing verse is concerned that is the definition.

I would say Meth, based largely on the shear volume of his guest-spot catalog. He was on almost every hip-hop album in the mid nineties, and let's face it... he was just better than about 90% of those other artists.

Yeah I can see AZ more so than Nas. To me AZ shines more next to someone. Nas does not always come with his A-game on guest spots.

I've never heard a RA feature where he didn't mutilate the other dudes on the track. He always seems to bring extra heat when rhyming with other people.

RA The Rugged Man (dude is lyrically untouchable. On features he usually uses his "Victor Charlie, hit trigger, hit it I'm in it to win it, get it/ The lieutenant hinted the villain, I've ended up killing/ I did it, crippled, did it, pictures I painted is vivid, live it" style which is always attention grabbing)

Pun (Pun is similar to RA in that way)

Eminem (1997-2003) (Eminem said the most outrageous, fucked up, hilarious shit during this era. But it was all lyrical with incredible rhyme schemes. I think Em and RA (Pun too) went really hard with other MCs to prove themselves. I hope that's not out of line.)

Jay-Z (Jigga didn't let anyone outshine him... til he got hella rich)

Canibus (Bus could be higher but He got pwnd by Pun on a track so he cant be higher than him... and I'm a Stan so he can't be higher than Em, but yeah he has a mechanical mandible yadda yadda yadda...)

Busta Rhymes (He came into the game thrashing dudes on 'Scenario' and he never stopped doing it. He's lower because sometimes it's pure hypeness that propels him)

Method Man (Meth had a pretty decent streak of show stealing, he isn't as high because he has had the show stolen from him numerous times)

Dre 3000 (Low because he has a low volume of guest spots, but he hasn't been outdone on any that i can recollect)

DMX (The hypeness made his verse the most memorable most of the time.)

Bun B (probably should be higher, but honestly his style, to me, doesn't stand out enough, even if his verses are better)

Ice Cube (I put him above Mystikal out of respect. I haven't heard enough Ice Cube features to make a case for or against)

Mystikal (Southern DMX)

Eminem (2004-Present) (during this era, except for 'Forever' and a couple tracks here and there he was pretty... not impressive)

Okay as usual this is not easy. And i'm not 100 on this order.

Busta Rhymes (Busta Rhymes career highlights imo is his guest appearances)

Eminem (the murk seems just natural to him)

Bun B (looking at his output of guest spots and for the quality of most of them to be top notch I had to put him at 3)

Method Man (Could easily be number 2 or 3 but someone has to be 4)

Dre 3000 (he does not do spots often but when he does we are all waiting for his verse...admit it)

Jay-Z (Jay when he wants can be a cold calculating mofo on the mic. But he takes the easy way out at times on guest spots so that kept him from being higher)

DMX (not necessarily for his lyricism but for the energy he bought to a trk. He seemed to always be the way thats grabs your attention and never let's go)

RA The Rugged Man (I haven't heard enough RA guest spots to fairly rank him but for the few I heard he goes hard.)

Ice Cube (if I was only taking into consideration him in his prime I would have him higher.)

Mystikal (almost the same with DMX. Mystikal style alone will steal your spotlight if you are not on point)

If I ranked AZ I would put him somwhere around RA.

My number one pick is Busta as of now. He has been stealing the show his whole career.

Really? How bout Live At The BBQ and Verbal Intercourse? Those were two of the greatest show stealing verses of all time. He blew up the spot on Back To The Grill as well.

AZ deserves mention as well. As does Kane, G Rap, Pharoahe Monch, Xzibit, Redman, Big Pun among others.

Jadakiss is another obvious omission. Damn there's a good amount of one hitter quitter's in the game.

And KJ I cannot deny Nas stole the show on those trks you mentioned. I'm just wondering does he do that consistantly?

Canibus then...

Bun-B (persistent guess)
Eminem (if he's on the verse majority of the time he's better than the other guy)
Busta Rhymes (one of the most sought after guess)
Jay-Z (shows up, does the nasty and bounces, however not always the best but great)
Dre 3000 (he doesn't guess too often but kills when he shows up)
Method Man (always gives a great verse but not always the best)
RA the Rugged Man (don't know his discog enough but seen him murder tracks)
Mystikal (always hype for a Mystikal but not necessairly cause he mercs the other guy)
Ice Cube (same for cube but I tend to prefer him solo)
DMX (I respect the X but haven't really seen him son anybody like that)

I'd like to nominate the Mavs, their 3 point shooting, and Dirk for the Show Stealer award.

TWISTA!!!

Aside from the incredible volume of features, Twista has done songs with some of the best in the game and he rips everyone on the mic, no matter who it is. Recently, tho, that Tech N9ne Worldwide Choppers song was the first time I really didn't think he stood out, which makes me think that maybe his style is usually just the hypest. He's my personal top choice, tho.

From this list...

1. Eminem (pretty much the definition of show stealer)

2. Jay-Z (even the Mike Jordan of recordin' himself will tell you Eminem murdered him on his own shit)

3. Bun B (even on a song with 19 lesser know Houston bums, you will still think a song is dope cuz Bun ripped it.)

4. Busta Rhymes (Jigga wishes he was as animated as Busta Rhymes)

5. Mystikal (a beast in his prime...can't wait til him and Mannie Fresh drop that collab)

Dre 3000
DMX
RA The Rugged Man
Ice Cube

The rest of the list doesn't cut it to me, not as show stealers, anyway. I'm not really even familiar with RA besides the Rawkus shit. I would replace any of the rest of the list with my pick for honorable mention: Ludacris.

Check this album out: Legendary Classics Vol. 1.

http://uploading.com/files/82de39e3/UP_2347123.rar/

It is pretty much a compilation of a lot of RA's illest features.

RA the Rugged Man and it's not even close. Has anyone ever outshine him on a track he's on?

It's a tough call, but I'm going with RA Rugged Man.

His features are simply stellar. He's the main reason why I still play the songs he's featured on years later.
