PostSubject: Z-Ro vs. K-Rino   Z-Ro vs. K-Rino Icon_minitimeFri 20 May 2011, 3:02 pm

I know this may not go over too well, but I think Z-Ro is the better overall rapper. We all know that K-Rino has got the lyrics and creativity on lock, but what else does got over Ro? The discog is probably a wash. Ro actually has more classics in my book. I'm Still Livin and Rise are both classics to me. Only Solitary Confinement is a classic from K-Rino. Both have quite a few albums that come close though. I think Ro's flow and delivery best K-Rino's, and i don't think it's really that close either. I prefer Ro's beat selection(with or without RAL) as well. Ro's subject matter is a little more my speed as well.

Man I don't know. Ro is mos def more accessibile than Rino and has the better beats and hooks, so I can give you that. They both have dope rap voices and Rino can flow pretty damn good when he chooses too.

As far as classic albums goes I can see where you are coming from with that also. As much as I like Rino I have always had a problem picking a sure fire classic from him. His albums are good because of his lyricism and subject matter only for the most part. But they do not always click as a cohesive album. And thats where Ro comes in strong, his albums are usually put together pretty well. But he lacks in the subject matter department when compared to Rino.

Also they are so different in their rhyme objectives and points of views that I think Rino sound is exactly his sound so of course it will not have the sound of Ro. And vice versa. Ro is more on the laid back side of thing where Rino is more on the heavy rhyme attack side of things.

So in conclusion (lol) I think Rino is the better rapper but I may reach for RO albums more frequent than Rinos.

I think that's why i like their collabos so much. They really are good complimets to one another.

I think Ro and K have an even discog - both have classics to me. Blood Doctrine, Solitary Confinement, AOTEM, and Time Traveler match up to Still Livin, Joseph McVey, KOTG, etc. After that Rino has the lyrics and creativity on lock and that wins it for me. Ro does what he does quite well, but he's always on the same flow, same subject matter, same shit. He doesn't really mix it up at all. He does it dope, but I feel K comes way more diverse on his albums so I prefer him. With Ro I gotta be in a certain mindset or WANT TO be in a certain mindset to bump him, and it's not a happy mindset. With K I feel his music fits whatever mood and he has music that spans anything I might be feeling.

Good points SRP. I agree for the most part. They are both great at what they do but for different reasons if that make sense.

K-Rino is the same way. I think that's where the creativity comes in, but K's generally on the same steez album after album. I get what your saying about Ro being a specific type of mood. The dude is a bit of a downer.

Rino is usually on the same steez for every album so I guess I can see that. But with Rino albums you never know what the fuck he is about to talk about or flip on you track for track. Sometimes with him its a guessing game to see what he's going to throw at your mind.
