| Was at my local FYE today, and was surprised by the actual selection they had for rap/hip-hop there. They actually had a copy of Swollen Members' "Armed To The Teeth". I was shocked!
Anywho, I picked up Blue Scholars, and The Likwit Junkies...combined, it cost me $8.

| ^^^ Yo Parker, been listening to WWOZ while i do my morning rituals...excellent stuff so far...I've only heard some mellow jazz this morning but I'm sure there's more variety throughout the day from the looks of the site. I'm not a jazz "fan" per se because I don't know a lot about it but I have always enjoyed it as my dad is a huge fan. If I could teach him how to use the internet as a radio he would be stoked, lol. Good rec, man. | |

Glad you like it. You really should check out season 1 of Treme. They're using that show to dissect New Orleans just like they did with B'more in The Wire. Season 1 focuses primarily on the dedication the people have to preserving the music, food and festival traditions. I can't say enough that it is easily top 3 tv shows right now... all time, personally.

That Free Philthy is really good, the problem is that half the tracks are on other releases, so you should check your collection against it before you pay too much for it. I was wondering about that 4-Tay as well, haven't heard any reviews for it, but I really haven't looked in to it. When did that Reekalation 2 drop?

Went used today and copped:
Pooh Sauce - Money Every Where Amp and Berner - Traffic 2 Money Gang - 2 Chain Gang Hollow Tip - Street Value Mercenaries - Mercenary Movement

| You know Reek Daddy is far from my favorite either, but it was two discs and 8.99 after the coupon so I said why not... it has Coolio and Dubee on a few tracks so if the recording was proper it'd be a lot better... oh well.. might just throw it back on amazon. Is that Money Gang something new or just a re-release of an old mixtape? I'm assuming it's a re-release?
And I have no clue when the new rydah is dropping, the Money Gang dropped today and inside they advertise a new mac dre/kilo curt but no new rydah. I know the last few unreleased mac dre songs are dropping in an EP soon. You should download the Dremixx and tell me what you think... it's old mac dre songs with new verses from other people so I don't think I'll like it.

| Raphael seems to be stuck in the 60s/70s time period. If you like The Way I See It then you'll like Stone Rollin'. Stone Rollin' is basically just a sequel to The Way I See It. If you would like for him to go back to the Tony Toni Tone/Instant Vintage time period then you might not like Stone Rollin'. I think it's worth getting just for Good Man alone but that's just me. | |

I take it Explicit Game is your favorite Dru album? I own that and Gangsta Pimpin'. Both are really solid, with Explicit Game close to Can You Feel Me, but doesn't have as many standout tracks imo. What you think of 4-Tay 'Bigga Than Da Game'? I'm missing that one in my collection.
