This is a good year for Bumpy. First an album with KRS-One, then a collab with Statik Selektah. The album's called Lyrical Workout and it's bangin'. The combonation of Statik's beats with the raw lyrics of Freddie Foxxx makes for good chemistry. This album just recently dropped and I highly recommend it, whether you're a Statik fan or a Bumpy fan, you won't be let down. I give this one an easy 4 stars after three spins.

Great album!

Statik is a beast on these boards. He's slowly becoming a fav of mine. And Bumps sounds real refreshed.

Yeah I agree, I just thought it was funny how you said you were gonna buy and then like 1 min later asked for the link. Smart move though.

LOL....Its hard for me to pay $9 for a digital album. So I want to make sure i'm not jumping the gun and really listen to it. If its still jamming after a full listen I will buy it later.

Yeah man. They really need to bring the prices for digital albums down to $5 or less. I wouldn't mind supporting them then. Only time I buy digital albums now is if I can't find a link for a album I want right away.

Thanks for the link.

Man, this album is definitely dope. It's easily better than Royalty Check, and more than worthy of an actual physical release.

Man, this album has been in constant rotation since day 1. Very consistant from beginning to end. New rating - 4.5 stars (and climbing).

Yeah man this is quite nice. After one listen I'd give it about 4.25. Statik's beats are a bit too smooth at times, if you know what I mean. I'll definitely be listening to it again very soon, maybe I'll like it even more.

Man i'm scared to even think it this early but this album sounds perfect. I mean Bumps is killing it lyrically and just sounds refreshed and hungry. And the beats sound like they were made for only Bumps rhymes. I will wait until my next listen to give it a more true rating but 4.25-4.5 sounds very reasonable.

The chemistry between the two is outstanding and the album has an incredible flow. And to think, this one almost snuck under the radar!

Definitely wasn't feeling this as much as you guys were...I didn't hear the Bumpy & KRS album because I refuse to expend currency for any KRS-One album post-"Sneak Attack" but Bumpy isn't really bringing the energy like he used to and Statik is wearing himself way too thin...Statik can be an INCREDIBLE producer and although I appreciate the fact that he's trucked out full-length collabo albums with like 6 guys over the last year in addition to all of his other shit his quality is definitely suffering.

The albums/EPs I've listened to more than a couple of times:

This
Random Axe
Hell: The Sequel
I Found My Backpack
Gibbs/Statik

I've played Alien Baby, Oneirology, and most of the Raekwon once or twice. Once I get a CD deck in my car, all of these will increase.
