smh @ this matchup. Doggystyle wins comfortably for me, but Illegal Business is creeping it's way to top 50 status for me.

I haven't heard Illegal Business. And Snoopy doesn't need my vote.

I've only listened to Illegal Business? once all the way through so I'll give it another spin before I vote. I really like it though. It seems like Doggystyle is going to take this regardless. It will probably be in the final four.

DAMN, honestly both of these albums are in my top 5 from the west period, not only 1993, but recently ive elevated Illegal Business to top 10 overall stastus...i just bumped it today too lol...

Honestly, the production is slightly better on Illegal Business, im sorry but i cant deny that. Doggystyle has the recognized classics but musically Illegal Busines is just as much if not more of a masterpiece. Mac Mall and Snoop lyrically are close, Mall says a lot more in his rhymes, Snoop takes it voice and flow wise probably but Mall rides these beats with ease. If more people actually gave the album a fair listen they'd know why people call it the west coast Illmatic.

Mac Mall...just finished listening to it again and I like it even more. Classic for sure. Way more variety than the Snoop joint.

Kev, i'm not sure what you're hearing or not hearing, but Mac Mall is a better lyricist than Snoop. There's really no two ways about it. Snoop's flow, delivery, and voice over those perfect Dre beats is what makes it so great IMO.

easily Illegal Business. Even though I do like Doggystyle it does not win over this classic imo.

Anyway, I have the album I have spinned it more than twice. I tried spinning other times but I lost interest in it over half way through. Maybe I should have heard it back when it 1st dropped. Because to me it sounds good but not great.

Snoop's voice over almost any beat makes that beat better also. Mac Mall may be betta than Snoop overall lyrically. He has more range as an lyricist no doubt. But Snoop's rhymes are more catchy and entertaining than Mall's. Snoop makes better songs overall imo than Mac Mall. Snoops voice and flow murders Mally Mall. And I highly respect Mall as a rapper but the over hyping of our fav artist has to draw a line somewhere.
