| Yo, fellow producers and spitters...
I was wondering if anyone had any tips on recording vocals on FL Studio? Mine never seem to come out right. I'm sure the acoustics in my garage are part of the problem but I was wondering if there may be any useful effects or tools that help clean up vocals. My main problem is that the vocals come out muffled and bassy. Any suggestions? Thanks. | |

| I never knew you could record vocals directly into FL. Well, maybe if you set up ASIO4ALL to a certain setting, but I never got that deep into it. | |

| Yeah, I'm not sure how to tweak the ASIO4ALL settings to my benefit. I have taught myself how to do everything up until this point but I'm kinda stuck. | |

| Well first i put a fruity compressor then a fruity limiter then reverb 2 and finally a delay just adjust to your pref | |

| Joker, do you put those fx on every vocal you do? I've fucked with the compressor but it seems to drown out the beat at times...I might just have to tweak some knobs here and there. | |

| yea i use those every time expect for the delay i also may add other plug ins but thats just for added fx an example being a distortion plugin that i would use if i wanted the vocals to sound scratchy | |

You still fuck with FL or are you strictly tapping buttons now? I still mess with FL a whole lot. I also use Reason alot more nowadays. Yesterday I bought a SP-202 on ebay. It's limiting as hell, but the lo-fi sound is great. Can't wait until it gets here. I was going to buy the SP-303 but I didn't want to pay the price for it just yet and I'm also impatient. By the year end I plan on having an MPC 2000XL | |
