Too much filler on this album. Yuk keeps spittin about materialistic stuff that doesn't mesh with his style. I'm sorry, but this album didn't do it for me. The first 2 tracks were pretty good, but after that, the album started the downward spiral. The "Ain't Nobody Fuckin Wit Me" track was ok, but the Lil Wayne reference kept it from being a completely dope track. Lyrically, Yuk is pretty raw on the mic, but with all of the boasting of material possessions, the album kind of falls flat. Also, WTF is up with the auto-tune usage. Damn Yuk!! Is this cat ever going to make another "Thugged Out: Abulation" or "Thug Lord" album again?

I actually agree with you Harris on this one. I skimmed thru it so no final verdict on it yet but the 1st few trks were grabbing me in then all of a sudden he starts that bullshit. He seems to want that mainstream accpectance so bad.

Exactly! It shows heavily on this album. He has to understand that his style is not meant for the mainstream. He is losing credibility with fans doing the stuff that he does. It's ridiculous. At this point, I don't think he will ever make another dope album again. The cat has crazy talent but doesn't use it properly. The last time I heard Yuk really get down on the mic was on the "All Out War" mixtapes where he went at 50 Cent. He was getting notoriety like crazy. That glam life just isn't him, and he was called out on it by Numskull. That's why those 2 haven't spoken in years. He needs to go back to the mobb sound he had back in the day, or collab with some artists from the east (KRS, BCC, Redman, Wu, etc.)

East coast Colabs probably won't happen... At least no time soon and if so a red/meth one would probably be mostly likely cuz they can all sit around and burn till they can't see and spit some dope on the mic. I have been following yuk since the og luniz days and not every track is fire but he does spit thug shit like no other... Have you heard the million dollar mouthpiece or city of dope??? I found both to contain some classic yuk thuggism unfortunately he does try to expand his fan base by puttin a couple tracks on each release that just don't fit his style... Don't let that take from his ability and long catalogue of str8 thug shit though, its a economic thing.

I feel ya Yogi. Yuk is raw as hell. I have to say he is one of the few artists to hold his own against just about anyone from other regions. It's just that I'm tired of his inability to create a cohesive album. From talking about pimpin women in porn flicks, to wrist ice watches, that shit gets really old quick. It's nothing but filler and takes away from his credibility as an artist. The dude is major talented, but can't deliver a classic product.

yeah, the auto tune was too much. As much as i dislike T-Pain, i expect the auto tune when i see his name as a guest, but Yuk was using it on other songs too. I wouldn't call the album a complete waste. I think fans of Yuk will find plenty to like about the album. I'd give it 3.5-3.75.

I will say around 2.75-3 out of 5 ranking. He knew he could've have done better. Some of the lyrics he spit were very good, but that's not enough. The guy hasn't had a solid album in years. So, why dwindle into commercial wackness? To be honest, he is kind of a hypocrite. He says the he is hardcore and street one minute, then the next he's flossin' with jewels. That's the type of the stuff Numskull was talking about.

Yuk is in the same place Twista is for me because they both have so much skills but they seem to be to focused on a hit or crossover appeal to much. They have all these forced half azz songs on their album sprinkled with the hard shit they are good at. When they want to get serious they are some of the best but half steppin is killing them.

I def agree. The new Twista album is the same way. After the first 3 songs, I was done with the album. Even Johnny P was using Auto-tune.

Every1 ifs using auto tone and I expect to see it die out by the end of the year though.... I'm sure we aren't the only ones getting tired of it
