Best Album Of 1998 Pre List

Plenty of No Limit albums that can be removed. Imo only Fiend, C Murder, Mystikal, & Mac should make the list.

No Magnum Force or Enquiring Minds. I actually liked both CDs.

Well I always wait on more cosigns. So they can be added. The problem is what will come off. Because some of these albums aren't going far anyway.

I would love a cosign on the Jayo. One of my favorites of 1998.

While I agree that 1998 wasn't as good as 1988-1996, I would take it over 1997, 1999, and most post-2000 years.

98 is hard to narrow cuz there was so many albums that came out this year it seems that are deserving to have a shot. In the other years it seemed there were more consensus classics but 98 has tons of albums people love and others hate and thats why this list seems so hard to get everything in. I feel like the late 2000's will have a big problem with this with the rise of the digital age and tons of shit popping up

I agree. I'm looking foward to that decade but then again I know it will be a battle. I already have it planned to expand the slots for a few yrs in the 00's. We can take it to the next level. Just have to keep it within reason. Also for these last few yrs we have the whole "mixtape" but its my album thing going. I'm thinking two "mixtape" picks per forum member at the most, but we'll see when and if we get there.

Oh and I also agree with what you said about '98. Its crazy. Even though more than likely knowing this forum Aquemini and/or Black Star may be the winners fairly easily.

Translated that means....Some albums that are contenders to win it all will likely get bumped in the first round, whereas forgettable albums will advance due to weaker matchups.

Flipping through one of my CD books on my break at work today, I realized something.

AZ's "Pieces of A Man" was released in 1998. I don't think that was included. If it was, cool. If not, no big deal, just thought I'd point out that one slipped through the cracks.

Edit: Defari's "Focused Daily" also.

I always vote for the obscure ones when I feel it is the right decision, it's not me doin the no show on stuff I request tho
