Large Professor - Professor @ Large Dope, but I didn't seem to like it as much as everybody that commented on it in the New School thread.
Showbiz and AG - Preloaded Dope. Good rec from Powell.
Masta Ace - Son of Yvonne Dopest of the three. Ace is a great storyteller. DOOM's beats set the tone perfectly. This is the newest entry into my top 10 for '12.
Oh No - Ohnomite Been bumpin this for a minute. I love the beats on here and all the features keep it interesting, they give each song its own flavor.
Damn... if you're putting Ace ahead of Large Pro & Oh No I might have to check it out. I honestly wasn't going to bother, but them other two albums are quite nice. And I'm a fan of Ace and Doom, both. So not hearing it is just stubborn dumbness.

Where did you buy yours and how much? I only found it on itunes. But $16 is high for a digital price.
Digital. With 28 tracks, that doesn't work out to much over 50 cents per, which isn't crazy overkill. read that it was to be released in retail stores, not sure that happened or not.

[quote="Deanie O'Banion"]K. Rob, saw that you spun BBHMM, not sure if you know or not that he has an EP in the works "Grown Man Game" to drop in august.
I'll check this out.
This Sug and Young is jamming man. I'm really feeling it after one full listen. Hey I got 2 questions though?
1. Where does disc 2 begin? Or is it just one big album?
2. I noticed two trks only played like some of the song before it cut off and went to the next trk. The songs are S.G.V. & So Conceited....do you have the same probelm?

14 on each, I Wanna Be is last track on "disc" 1. San Gabriel Valley is the 1st track on "disc" 2. SGV has an intro & outro included, but no didn't notice any cut off problem w/either of those 2 tracks.

Spins:
Nas - Life is Good My lowered expectations served me well on this one, I think. I ended up being pleasantly surprised. I hate the track with Swizz and the one right after it but the rest was dope.
Frank Ocean - Channel ORANGE Man, this album is real fuckin dope to me. Not sure how the rest of the forum will feel or if anybody is even interested. It kind of has a Love Below type feel to it, kinda weird but good. Best R&B album I've heard since Aloe Blacc's Good Things.
Masta Ace/DOOM - Son of Yvonne This is moving into my top 3. I can't stop playing it. I love the beats and I love the story. It's one of those albums that you have to listen to all the way through every time. No real standout tracks, just a great album. Excellent for listening to at work or whenever you are listening for extended periods.
On deck:
Aesop Rock - Skelethon I am really looking forward to this but I'm enjoying the above three too much right now.
Scarface - Haze EP Didn't hear shit about this but it showed up on my Spotify recs.
Juvenile - Rejuvenation Just for shits and giggles...
MMG - Self Made Vol 2. I think Highsmith may have talked me out of this one, tho...FUCK WALE. I was hoping it would be more Stalley. Guess I'll just stick with Savage Journey to the American Dream for now.
I don't think that Scarface shit is the same Scarface. Sounded like electronic something or other. I didn't hear any vocals at all.
As far as Skelethon, the beats remind me a lot of Felt 3, which is a good thing. It takes a while to come to any sort of conclusion with his music.

Dope Game is another banger...that's probably a close second fav track on the album. One of the few times on the album Thai actually came hard on the mic.

Tran, From Where I Began is a typical 454 release...clubby g-rap. I like it, but only spun it a couple times so far. A few tracks stand out, yes Dope Game was one of them for me as well. I like the Traxamillion track w/Dem Hoodstarz.

Spins:
Preemo/Bumpy - Kollexxxion The beats made this a decent listen but I grew really tired really quick of how often Bumpy reminds you of how "hard" and how "real" he is. It comes off as him being anything but. Probably won't spin this anymore.
Aesop Rock - Skelethon Dope as I expected. I still gotta give it a few more spins to settle on a rating, tho. As Parker said, it takes a min to really soak his shit in, but the first spin was def satisfying.
