PostSubject: Nas Double Album   Sun 15 Jan 2012, 7:20 pm

We all know that Nas was supposed to have a double album prior to Street Disciple.

My question is if you could take tracks from I Am, Nastradamus, and Lost Tapes to make said double album what would it look like? Assuming each disc had 10-12 tracks which would you choose for each disc?
And after this cherry picking do you think you would have a good, great, or classic album?

I'll do the cherry picking later but I'll say that it would have been great, possibly classic.

The double album was promoted in the inserts of the Firm album, was to be released sometime in 98, but it didn't happen. If I could take tracks from those 3 albums, here's what I would pick, 12 songs for both CDs:

Disc 1
NY State of Mind Pt. II
Hate Me Now
Small World
Favor For A Favor
Nas Is Like
We Will Survive
Dr. Knockboot
Money Is My B****
Undying Love
I Want To Talk To You
Project Windows
Some Of Us Have Angels

Disc 2
I would put all of Lost Tapes on disc 2.

Overall, imo, this would be a classic.

Good picks Wayne, but I'd add Ghetto Prisoners to the tracklisting

NY2 is boss. Nice tracklisting. I guess it goes without saying you felt Lost tapes had no weak points.

"N.Y. State of Mind Pt. II"
"Hate Me Now"
"Favor For a Favor"
"Ghetto Prisoners"
"Nas is Like"
"Some of us have angels"
"Project Windows"
"Shoot Em' Up"
"Family"
"We Well Survive"
"Come Get Me"
"Life's what you make it"
"Poppa Was a Playa"
"Black Zombie"
"Doo Rags"
"Drunk By Myself"
"Purple"

I would just make it a classic single disc
