Chino XL

It's probably hard to believe, but I've never checked out an album by XL. If I order his first 2 albums, what am I getting? Seemed to get really good reviews on both of them. I've only heard him on guest spots.

Depends what you're looking for. His first album is raw as fuck production, along the lines of The Darkest Cloud, The High Exaulted, Soul On Ice. Meaning, if you don't dig dark, dusty samples or can't listen strictly for lyrics, then skip it. I Told U So, Warning, and Poisen Pen are all dope as fuck records all around and have no reason to worry if you like punchline heavy hip hop.
