| Em fairly easily is the better overall rapper. Lyrically overall Chino may get the edge but Em has the betta flow, delivery, charisma, and subject matter. | |

| I can't believe this. Em creates some of the corniest shit. Em couldn't even drop an album better than Ricanstruction. Not even poison pen. | |

| MMLP is one of the greatest creations in all of hip-hop. if you cannot accept that then you are just a hater. | |

| That statement is ignorant.
I would probably give Eminem the slight edge because of the listenability (is that a word? Is now.) of his flow, vocals. These two are extremely similar in my opinion and a reasonable comparison.

| I do not back down from my statement whatsoever. Trotter has said much more ignorant shit lately, and i firmly believe MMLP is one of hip-hop's best albums. | |

| That's fine, but unilaterally labeling anyone who disagrees "hater" is bullshit. I'm sure you can come up with something better. That just deteriorates the conversation, doesn't it? | |

| i think MMLP is really good, but never saw the classic status people claim it as, at all. SSLP is a top 10-15 album though... | |

| MMLP sucked. Even though The Source lost all its credibility, it did acknowledge Chino had that style first. Em is good but he aint touching Chino. And makes MMLP so great? Is it the song The way I am? If Chino had the type of fan support Em had it would be a whole didn't story.
Chino in my opinion is someone the industry has blacklisted. Along with Canibus, RA Rugged Man, RasKass, there seems to be an undeniable force hampering these guys careers. Unlike the other two Chino never made a wack album. He got a lot of flack for namedropping but now everybody does it.

| This is replying to many people at once. Didn't feel like going through and quoting everyone's stuff.
I'll admit my post was overly hyperbolic and the use of 'hater' was lame/lazy, but it's more in response to people saying it was bad, not necessarily that they don't agree that it's an all-time great. MMLP definitely didn't suck. As far as what made it classic, yes, Way I Am was a great song, along with Stan, but the album cuts like Kill You, Remember Me, I'm Back, Marshall Mathers, Bitch Please II, Criminal are all incredibly dope tracks. Dre, Bass Brothers, and Em put forth excellent production throughout. Em emotes a lot more on this album than he does on his debut. All the while killing it lyrically with a wide array of flows and personal subject matter. But Em's x-factor (as it always is) is his dark sense of humor, and it is more brilliantly displayed here than on any of his other works imo.
As far as the original topic. Em was better (pre-Encore, though Relapse can fuck with any Chino on a straight rhyming tip, but he fell off hard after that). Now Chino is better.

| What a dumb question.
Chino XL's Here to save you all and I told you so smoke all of Eminem albums. Chino XL is for the genius and Eminem for the average.
Eminem as a lyricist was behind Eyedea and at the level of Slug. Eminem was a good artist, but they are levels to this game and Chino XL smoked him in lyrics. No questions asked.
