| After the Random Axe CD, yes this is a blind buy. I'll put Ode To The Ghetto and OJ Simpson on my spin list for the week. | |

| Guilty is hit or miss for me. I loved Ode to the Ghetto but I never felt there was a match with Madlib on OJ Simpson. I need to spin it again tho, its been a while. And I was underwhelmed by Random Axe, but I think that was because I expected so much. Either way, I will def peep this. Hopefully it hits Spotify. | |

I'm not sure he fits your style as much, but I just love his mic presence, personality, and hard lyrics...entertaining as fuck to me. I like all of his albums (OJ Simpson, Ode to the Ghetto, and Random Axe). I think OJ Simpson has his best collection of songs, only thing is its Madlib and every track is followed by a skit/interlude which is cool but if you dont want to hear the skits you can just put the 13 or whatever tracks into a playlsit and play those, not a bad track on here to me

| It's okay through 3 tracks. Beats are okay, tailored to Guilty. It's empty carbs though, not stick to your ribs soul food like OC & AG. | |

| I already like this better than Trophies. OC is a better all around rapper than Guilty but I like the beats better on this one. And I'm with Slang. Anything Guilty drops is a blind buy. | |

make that three then. Guilty is a blind buy until proven otherwise for me. Ode To The Getto is a classic, Ghettodes is great(not really new Guilty record though), Guilty's part on OJ Simpson is classic, and he stole the show on Random Axe.

| Brown's beats are lifeless to me. Too much effort put into post-production realignment. Leave that shit a little sloppy... that's where the soul is.
That's my overall opinion of his work, I haven't heard this to be fair.

| I listened to the first half on the way home from work. Overall I like it.
Apollo Brown seems to have gotten over not being able to resolve a loop. Maybe it's matching front-heavy beats with the way Guilty's delivery finishes late.
The vibe of this album reminds me a lot of Remarkable Timing. Brown is very Bronze here, and Simpson is comparable to 60 Sec. Except Simpson is still boring as shit to me. For the most part I can just ignore his lyrics and appreciate the music, but when he gets in your face its unbearably bleh.
The best thing I've heard from Apollo Brown by a long shot. And, I guess the best I've heard from the other guy, too.

| I agree his beats are really similar to Bronze Nazareth. Just more predictable without the wu influence. He had some crazy beats on OC's Trophies though... The Formula. Guilty and Apollo Brown keep improving. Will be buying this one in my next group of purchases |

| Nobody else thinks Apollo Brown has run his style into the ground by this point? I mean if this album isn't evidence enough then I don't know what will be the final straw for y'all heads.
Trophies is much better than this after one listen, but I'll give DG another listen to see if I finally get brainwashed by Apollo Brown or something.

This album is excellent imo, but I do like "Trophies" better. Ialso don't think Apollo has run his style into the ground, he's getting better imo.

OC is better than Guilty Simpson, but i don't think there is a huge divide between these two albums. I'd give the edge to Trophies though.
