I'll try b4 I buy. Rino has been inconsistent lately. The lyrics are still there but his production including the hooks are too stagnant and/or boring.

I know what you mean. I feel he's due to release a banger, though. I'll roll the dice on this one. Also, this is probably one of the few times I'm looking forward to an album based on the artwork. I always thought it was weird for you to say that, Kevin, but now I get it. It's just an impression I get that I like where this album's going. Quite possibly nonsense... lol.

last album where the cover was more than some wack picture of himself (Annihilation of the Evil Machine) he put out an amazing album, so based on that history i'm excited for this

K-Rino's dope, but he's released the same damn album for about a decade.

Pre Ordered. Rino is dope. I wouldn't call him inconsistent. His music is consistently good, just some of it is great, and a lot of it is amazing so it sets the bar high. I thought both Deeper Elevation and 80 Minute Eternity were dope. Not as good as stuff like AOTEM or SC, but still dope.

I'm pretty sure i don't skip any tracks on any of his albums, at least since Blood Doctrine.

He doesn't really have many tracks to me that i just have to repeat over and over but i can put in any of his cd's and just let them ride. No filler

I don't think he's inconsistent either. He just doesn't give you any time to miss him.

I thought Day Of The Storm was weak at first but it was due to listening to him too much with AOTEM and Alien Baby coming out so close to it. I took some time off and Day Of The Storm, Deeper Elevation and 80 Minute Eternity are all quality releases to me

I'm gonna try dude out one more time with this album. But I have just never been able to really get into him. His lyrics are def the draw but the production has always bored me. While nothing I have heard from him has been bad, nothing I have ever heard from him has made me want to keep checking for him. K-Rino and Tech N9ne are prob the two biggest names that I can't get on the same page with everyone else.

I guess i need to order mines.

I haven't heard this yet, but I'd have to say Annihilation Of The Evil Machine would be the most likely to win over anyone on the fence... especially if you're mainly unimpressed by the beats he ends up using.

and like a million other local artists he's worked with from different places. Some of his producers are from different places (Tricksta is from UK and Blak Forest is from Germany).

Basically he works with whoever wants to work with him or wants a feature, but he doesn't go out of his way to have like anyone on his albums or anything.

It's pretty much on par with everything he's released since AOTEM. Lyrically he's on point (when is he not), but the production is probably on the lower end the spectrum though. "Multi-Reflex" is a dope ass lyrical exercise track.

I've come to the conclusion these complaints about production are just due to his production not being what you guys like as opposed to it really being that lacking. I mean I've heard same quality production on plenty of other albums, just different styles is all. Does it approach classic level production? Not usually, but neither does most music coming out nowadays. Personally I dug most of the production on here, but I dig the Texas/Southern sound so I like it. Probably would be nice to hear some more variety in styles, but not necessary IMO. "No Stress" had some production I'd call sort of west coast and it was pretty dope.

I agree about the beats. Especially these last 3-4 years.

I have no problems with the production. I don't listen to much else with similar sounding beats so it's always a refreshing change for me and they aren't attempting to make shitty club beats either. I wouldn't buy a producer album from these guys though. It took a while to get used to but now I dig it. K-Rino himself took a while to get used to. I actually love the production on Stories from The Black Book

Damn, I gotta catch up on my K. Still haven't heard Deeper Elevation or 80 Minute Eternity. Looks like I'll be puttin' in an order for those and this soon

Can someone please bring my man's K-Rino production to 2013!!! I'm listening to samples of the album now. And of course lyrically and subject matter wise its on point. But these beats and hooks? Its getting old.

Now this Multi Reflex beat is a step in the right direction. Hopefully there are more like this on it.

you sure about that? unless its cos he just released but normally his pricing is 15 shipped to US and International is 20

Yeah, something was up with the shipping this time. I asked about it and he never responded but it was up to 15 plus 5 shipped which was odd. I think they mislisted the "home" country when they put it up so they charged shipping on everything but it may have been intentional, who knows. Admit it is steep, but i don't buy much these days so I paid it anyways.

That said, I just copped it at sosouth...lol

Yeah, he has a deal in place with SoSouth for physical and also does all his digital distribution through SoSouth. I mean he'll probably admit as much that $15-20 is the full "support the artist" price and that's probably in place as a way for the fan base to give as much money directly to him if they so wish. I think a real complaint would be if he was the only one selling it and had a high price. At least he has the option to get it elsewhere.

Spinning this now. So far so good. It's safe and typical, but that's still better than most stuff. My order came with a SXSW SoSouth mixtape so that's an added bonus.

i remember another time something similar happened and it was a mistake... It does state on the site $15 to US, 20 international. People who would rather give the money direct could just send the $15 to his paypal adress and tell Krino you paid if you really want to ... Not that it should have to be done that way but I have bought stuff in the past that way even when there was no issue with the site.

Anyway, just copped it off SPC
