Top 50 Producers of All Time Day #10

Lets go to another NY cat who produces for other artists, his own albums and rap over that shit(thought he might not be that great of a lyricist), Necro. To me as a rapper he can get repetitive, but on the breaks, he's on my Top 5, and IMO on of the best to do it, need linker and Nero to back me up here. Top 25 easily.

Necro would make my top 50. Maybe 25 if I wrote it down

This is one artists that I have never really heard a song from. I refused to check him out when I heard from numerous sources he uses the n-word. But the links are a big help and he seems to be a decent rapper. His beats are decent also and I see what you are saying about him being good with the breaks but nothing special to me from the links provided so neither.

Kev you should give him a chance, I'm sure he's not using that word in a derogatory way, just a way of saying dude,bro, etc. I didn't like him at first since he was the first real violent rapper I had checked out, but once I gave him a chance it's pretty worth it.

I'm gonna say the same thing Kev did. I'm not really familiar with him, but based on the links provided he's not in my Top 50.

I can easily think of 50 producers I like better, so neither.

Also, while I disagree with Necro using the N-word, isn't there a double standard about this sort of thing? Nobody talks about Em calling Proof his "bun" in Biterphobia (let alone the racist tapes), or RA the Rugged Man's use of the word, MC Serch has been known to use it in private, etc etc etc.

Necro is in my top 50, pushing 25 but not quite. He's talented enough, but the rock shit as well as a few wack beats here and there keep him from really sailing IMO. Hopefully his beat on OB4CL2 will get him some more prominent work and establish him as the true beatsmith he is.
