How Much Will OB4CL2 Sell?

Since people are talking this up - what do you think it will sell?

My vote was for 20K-30K...

60-80k, i dont think its unreasonable for thinking this will do at least or near Blackout 2 numbers

30-40k..it has no real promotion and it took forever to drop.

Personally I haven't seen any promotion,but then again I don't watch MTV or BET etc. For something Rae was trying to make sure got promoted heavily there's really promotion.
Its hard to tell but I'd say around 80k.

we'll see 8 Diagrams sold almost 70k week one and 150k total through week 7. This album by namesake alone may generate around that number. And its not Rae's fanbase really, its Wu-Tang's.

I think around 60 to 80K. I believe Rae will surprise the industry with this joint. This is the album fans have been waiting for, and it doesn't disappoint at all. Since the internet is the big thing nowadays. I think his promotion went fairly ok. TV outlets suck nowadays. If it sells well, then this will be a huge step forward for his label and most definitely Wu. Wu-Tang ain't going nowhere.

If Tech's last collab album can sell over 20k in its first week, then Rae will probably do 3X as much. Tech doesn't even have the fans that Rae/Wu has. Rae's album will def fair well first week.

Couldn't have said it better. And with that, I still say Rae has the potential to sell 65-100k in first week. Look at Jada. He sold 134k with no promo, and he doesn't half the fans Rae/Wu does.

Jadakiss in 2009 has waaaaay more fans than Rae does easily, I don't think that's a fair comparison...in 1995 rae would've whupped his ass but not in 2009...I think Wu-Tang has a limited fan base as a whole as well...hip-hop artists with huge fan bases in 2009 include: Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Drake, Kanye West, 50 Cent, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, T-Pain, T.I., Dj Khaled, I mean these are some of the guys who in 2009 are guaranteed to sell...Wu-Tang isn't selling like those guys because the kids aren't checking for them like that...I think Cam'ron and Jim Jones (Dipset) sell waay more than Wu-Tang in 2009 easily....

As far as fanbase goes, and with the generation age group, I wouldn't doubt Jada has more of a fanbase. But, don't count Rae out. Cats have been waiting for this next chapter of OBFCL. The anticipation is high, plus the overall structure of the album is very cohesive. Rae did a good job of selecting producers (dilla, dre, rza) and features (jada, styles, sigel, of the rest of the wu). Plus, he has been touring extensively over the past few months to support this shit. I have no doubt this will do high numbers. I estimate easily 60-80k first week. Also, remember that Wu has a stronger fanbase worldwide. More of the sales will def come from foreign countries as well.

I co-sign this. 60-80k sounds about right. If Jay-Z weren't releasing his album 3 days later, it would be higher.

I still say Wu has a bigger overall fanbase than Jada. While Jada's first week sales were impressive, he really didn't have any viable hip-hop competition when his album came out, whereas Rae is up against the most successful hip-hop artist of the decade.

It has been the number 1 album on iTunes for 3 days now...just sayin.....
