So I'm just getting into new R&B. I got that Raphael Saadiq "The Way I See It", and it bangs hard.

I grew up listening to that 1965 soul so this album is quite a gem. Is/are there any more good R&B albums I should check out?

BTW, I can't stand that ol' bitter man hating female stuff either. That shit makes a veins I didn't know that could be seen stand up on my head.

I would listen to Raphael Saadiq's first album "Instant Vintage" also. Its just as good as "The Way I See It"

As a matter of fact, that one is on my radar as well.

Just so you know, Instant Vintage is really not at all like his new album. It's decent, but apples to oranges.

I assume you already have Brown Sugar, Baduism, and Urban Hang Suite?

All much more similar to TWISI.

LOL, so you probably wouldn't like Mary J's older stuff. I wouldn't call it "man hating" but she's just singing based of personal experience. I can't think of a better post 90's artist to be honest with you.

Check out Maxwell's discography. I've liked all of his albums thus far.

Check out Musiq Soulchild as well.

Brown Sugar and Voodoo are R&B perfection.
