A lot of Cormega's best tracks are under 3 minutes... Dramatic Entrance, American Beauty, Verbal Graffiti, The Come Up...

short tracks are better anyway id rather have an album of all 3 - 4 minute heat rocks, than a bunch of songs that drag on

Not me man because to me thats half steppin especially for an established artists or to do that every album. I mean the man hasn't dropped a album since 2002 and he can't make a trk over 3mins? I'm not bashing him because he is one of my favs but I guess i'm thrown off with this.

yea man its dope, not a classic or anything but at least 4/5 for me. If you liked Prince of New York you'll like this, i actually like this one better. 9th Prince's style obviously isnt for everyone but if you like it youll like this, and the beats are mostly really good. and 9th really came into his own on his 2 solos

Yeah I like it. I give it 4.25 stars on the first listen. Mega Fresh X is one of the dopest songs of the year. Journey, Make It Clear, and Define Yourself are bangers too.

Mega Fresh X is awful. The only people spitting on that track with anything resemblin passion are KRS and Mega. And KRS' verse was lackluster.

Guru has made better records, and fuck that bullshit about "oh he's only good cuz of Primo" well Guru sought out Primo to be his producer. You cannot be wack if you have 2-4 classics under your belt.

I like Royce, I downloaded Street Hop and think it's a dope album. I also liked Death Is Certain. But neither are classic IMO and he could have had Primo produce every track on Street Hop but he didn't. So that's on him.

You have an anti-NY attitude when it's easily the strongest region in hip-hop, so that's the main reason why I speak out against you.

As for the pics, yeah I do have plenty of them stashed. It's easy to get them from Photobucket.

Some of these rappers need to pay a lot more attention to the mixing and mastering of their albums, I'm sick of albums sounding like shit before I even get a chance to get into the beats and spitting.

people complain about that too much, id rather have the album sound dusty than clean anyday

I prefer gritty production to the super-clean, super-loud production of a lot of mainstream stuff also, but you still have to take the time to make it sound gritty AND good. There's a difference between sounding gritty by design, or by necessity (like older stuff), and just not giving a fuck or taking the time. Effort is usually still needed even to get good sounding lo-fi stuff. Cormega, Royce, Killah Priest, everything Joe Budden releases, these albums just sound like shit. They're thin, there's all sorts of distortion, the level are fucked up, it's not gritty, it's just bad.

I really dig this album, and I'm not even that big of a Cormega fan. I thought most of the guests were dope, the production was dope on most songs, and Mega was inspired. Right now I have it at 4.25 stars.
