Styles P & DJ Green Lantern - The Green Ghost Project (drops November 17th)

“The Evil Genius” DJ Green Lantern, and Styles P “The Ghost” have joined forces to create a monster – “The Green Ghost Project” – and on Nov 17th the world will say “It’s Alive!!!”

“The Green Ghost Project”, a joint album filled with original production from DJ Green Lantern, Alchemist, Scram Jones, Statik Selektah, etc., can be seen as the next natural step for the two mixtape veterans who constantly look to push the boundaries of how Hip Hop is given to the fans. “Styles and I got together and made a monster”, says Green of the project, which is being distributed through Invasion/The Orchard.

“Don’t call me ‘The Ghost’ right now, call me ‘The Green Ghost’”, remarks Styles P about the album’s sinister undertone. “It’s a different display of talent. We got together and brainstormed about it and it came out crazy!”

DJ Green Lantern and Styles also added some potent ingredients to the mix in the form of guest appearances from Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, M.O.P, N.O.R.E, Uncle Murda, Junior Reid, and more, taking “The Green Ghost Project” to truly “monstrous” proportions.




Sean Price - Kimbo Price (drops October 17th)



The Kimbo Price Mix CD boasts features from Boot Camp Clik soldiers like Rock (from Heltah Skeltah) and Ruste Juxx as well as Duck Down members Torae and Skyzoo. There are also appearances from Poison Pen, Royce Da 5′9″ and production from P.F. Cuttin’. This Mix CD is going to have some of the hardest rhymes you hear this year. Make sure you wear the proper headgear or you might get knocked out!

Can't wait for Kimbo Price. But, where the hell are the OGC features? I believe they really gave the hell up in terms of rapping.

Lol! However, you can't call Rock wack man. IMO, Rock still has the edge over Sean P. His baritone voice and fluidity on the mic still shines. I pretty much agree for the rest of them though. Well, Buckshot is another one that still kicks ass. I spoke with Dru Ha's brother awhile back, and he said OGC was making some new shit, but I guess not.

Heltah Skeltah co-founder Sean Price [click to read] will be releasing Kimbo Price, a retail mixtape that will serve as a boxing-pun lead-up to his Mic Tyson solo return, planned for 2010. This effort follows tradition of Price's Master P retail-mixtape last year, and a strategy employed by numerous Boot Camp Clik members between albums.
