| I only played it once in the crib so far and I like I like! Right now the 1st half is way stronger than the last. |

| 3.0 and below - straight trash, awful album, should have never released IMO |

| Who gave it 5?
I'll give it 3.5. A couple nice tracks.
Chuck D's appearance was wasted on the intro. I hate that shit. Ali trades bars with Freeway, instead. Great.
I also hate when emcees just talk their lyrics like they're narrating a film. Slug does too much of that shit, too.
What I like best from these two are the gospel tracks. None to be found here. | |

| I don't like Brother Ali but the beats are good on this one. Shadows on the Sun this is not but it's not awful. I won't rate it just yet, I've only listened to it once. | |

| Two listens and I am very impressed, Ali really told some dope social issues lyrics. I want to give it a 4.25 but just to make sure new cd hypeness is not clouding by judgement i'll sy 4.0 easily. I like it betta than Jay and Rae right now. Ali actually had some lyrics on this album that moved me and made me think. |

| Ali has good lyricism, keeps it real and raps over good beats that compliment his style, but I just can't get past the sound of his voice. | |

I agree to me that is one of his strongest attributes, it makes the emotional/real life topics he speaks even more real and gripping to me. I think street preacher fits him perfect. You were right e Taylor I am really digging the sound of this album. |
