| Your songs (or any catagory for that matter) don't necessarily have to be in order. Just drop 10 of your all time favs.
If you asked me my fav 10 songs tommorrow, I'd probably give you at least 2-3 that weren't on the list I just put out. |

That's not a bad list at all Slang. All of your Top 10 would make my Top 25-50. I think he was referring to the fact he has 4 Wu albums listed. However most people could only argue against Ironman, but it's a 5 star album to me so i have no problem with all 4 being included. Good list Slang.

| Good lists Al. Bro Ali (I wouldn't have any of his albums in my top 100, right now) and DJ Jazzy Jeff (probably top 50-75) wouldn't make my top 50 (except maybe the Fresh Prince), but the rest are in my top 50, easily.
As for artists, Ice-T, Chuck D, and Masta Ace would make my top 15-20, easy. Q-Tip is in the top 50, easy. And CL Smooth, Boots and Del would make my top 100 (although I have'nt heard all of Boots and Del's material, I still think they both deserve the spot. After hearing all of Del's ish, he should probably be top 50 or the front half of the top 75. Same with Boots)

The Bro Ali album is one of my all-time favorites because it got me really into this hip-hop shit when I heard it in '03. I was collecting and listening before that...almost entirely old school/golden age material, but that one kicked it into high gear for me...and made me start digging into the underground. I've literally listened to that album over 100 times...it was the soundtrack to my life for the better part of a year. lol Ice-T was one of those early artists I got into around the time of Run-DMC, Beastie Boys, NWA & PE. One of the real early one's that I still spin constantly today. Del actually keeps falling down on my list...I shouldn't have listed him. He hasn't released anything near classic since 2000. Boots deserves his spot IMO. The Coup spins out nothing but classic material IMO (they have 3 IMO, and 1 near). And DJ Jazzy Jeff is actually top 3 to me...I'd actually take him over Rick Rubin I think. lol...I love his turntablism.

I can hardly explain it myself. The DOC album is a classic IMO. I could have maybe given it top 100, but it really isn't quite that high for me even though I feel it's a classic...I just don't spin it enough to constitute top 100. The Dre album just isn't skip free to me...don't dig some of the rappers as much. So it's not even a classic to me (despite having some of the most classic songs of all time). On "Straight Outta Compton" it's 100% classic every way you look at it IMO.

I think Snoop, The Dogg Pound, and Rage are better than anybody in NWA except Cube. I also feel the Chronic's production was better than SOC's. That said, I recognize both albums as classic (along with No One Can Do It Better). |

I simply can't agree there....with any of those. I like Eazy, Ren, Cube & Dre more...at least in that group setting.
