Outside of the obvious ones that have already been mentioned, I'm goin to go with "innovations" that hip hop has helped popularize or were invented in the artform itself
"Screwing" music
16 Bars-and by that I mean the popular song pattern (a/b/a/b/a/b where a is the verse and 16 bars long and b is the hook or chorus which is 8 bars long) became such a mainstay in hip hop and pop has since followed suit...for better or worse
808s/drum machines-which were popularized by Kraftwerk but not NEARLY as heavily utilized until the 1980's when hip hop broke through to the mainstream
breakbeats-okay even if sampling has already been covered, the use of breakbeats in pop music has cooled quite a bit but don't forget even Madonna sampled Public Enemy (which in turn was sampled by Jay-Z)
rapping-so hip hop isn't JUST about rapping, and rapping itself has obviously gained popularity outside of the genre itself. from the 70's til the 10's every genre of music has dabbled with spoken lyrics in their art form
