| this is difficult for me because I've never really sat down and made a top 100 list or anything so I can't really say if this would place or not. It's not in my top 50 to be sure, but it might make my top 100. I'll be back with a vote. |

| Neither...objectively I could not see it in the top 100 either. Replay value was low on this one for me even though it had 3-4 stand out cuts. |

I doubt anybody here except maybe Pounds has done that. When deciding on Top 100 albums. I just think about how dope the album is, and how much replay value it has. I've played Doe Or Die a ton since purchasing it in 1995, and I still bump it to this day every now and then so I ranked it Top 50 because I can't personally think of 50 albums I dig more. Just put those thoughts in your process when deciding upon where to rank albums. |

C'Mon Kev!! If you're not a fan of the album then that's fine. But it's ridiculous to say that you couldn't see it as even an objective Top 100. The lyricism and production were excellent IMO. AZ is one of the most underrated MC's of all time. It's ok if you don't like the album, but I'd say most would see it as an objective Top 100. Personally, it's Top 50 to me. |

| I understand where you're comin from KJ, and I appreciate the input, but for the newere guys it's a little more difficult because I haven't been bumping Run DMC's King Of Rock since 88, but it's probably still in my top 100 albums somewhere. The first rap tape I ever bought was Coolio's Gangsta's Paradise and that has been played and replayed since I bought it but that'd maybe just barely make my top 100...it's just difficult. Appreciate the new way of looking at it though. |

Personally, it's Top 50 to me. I think Kev would acknowledge the lyricism on the album and by AZ in general, but i think AZ is too boring for him. He's not a big fan of the AZ/GZA type of mc's. | |

No problem man, just thought I'd help you out. It is difficult I agree. Some albums have me on the fence as well. But when that happens, I think to myself "Are there 100 albums that I'd take over this one?" and if the answer is no then I rank it. |

Exactly Terry, the lyricism on there was on point but I think the curse of following behind a top tier rapper killed him. To me him and Nas are almost the exact same rapper except Nas came out first and imo stayed more consistant. |
