Looks like Russell Simmons is out to get that money. I think the idea is dumb, but people are dumb anyway. I guess I can't hate because he is taking advantage of dumb people. Or can I????

That's why I don't FUCK WITH CHECK CASHING places. It's straight bullshit!
When I worked at FedEx I took a co-worker to one of them spots. He cashed his whole check. He planned to spend it all before the week was over.
You learn your spending habits from your parents. A lot of Black people have this fatalistic attitude towards having money which is why they stay broke. They think they'll never be out of debt so fuck it, spend it while you have it. It's frustrating to watch. They want everything and credit cards give them the ability to buy more than they can afford. They base their self-worth off what they have it or impressing other people.
This is also partly why hoods are run down. Everything is truly owned by someone else so they don't give a fuck about it because everybody is renting.

Rush Cards or Pre-Paid cards are for people who fucked up their checking account. So their bank account is closed and they'll flagged so they can't open an account anywhere else. And they have too much bad credit to get a credit card. So if they wanna shop online and shit its their only option. It is the American Dream....for them

That's true too. Never let it get that bad or life's a pain in the ass financially.

Cosign to a "T". I've asked people like that about why they don't have a bank account. They always say they don't trust banks. Check cashing places always take a fee per $100.00 of your check. Why pay the fee when you can get your cash straight into your bank account. You have access to all of your money, plus if you get robbed, you won't lose all of your money just like that. True story... Some years ago, the local news in StL was asking people about whether they would choose to spend $175.00 for a pair of tennis shoes for their kid or pay rent with the money. You'll be surprised how many dumbasses they found who said they would rather buy the shoes than pay rent. I couldn't help but wonder how many landlords were watching these people on the news, and whether they were served eviction notices after the news broadcast.

SMH...you know for real I'm like WTF!
People's priorities are suspect. Get your hair done or keep the lights on. I'd rather look cute than be able to see myself in the dark. And these be the same ones talking about they can't find a good man. Who would knowing shackle themselves to such BS other than someone equally as trifling or a straight dummy?
I told a co-worker today, the only thing a crazy person can share with you is their insanity.
