I was thinking the same thing. I hope his is just some temporary paint he put on for the album. I'll check this out when I get the chance.

The Grouch? I dig it. It's pretty fitting if you've heard the his material...mostly his 95-99 material when he had that grouchy/edgy attitude.

Dope album. The Grouch basically hasn't sounded hungry since about 2003. 1999 really. His lyrical peak was 1996-99, but I still actually dig the Grouch. Problem is, he's not a "grouch" anymore. Dude's grown up, has a wife and kids...he's happy, and the old pissed off Grouch was better...and least IMO. Anyway, DJ Fresh drives this album home. Has it not been for his fucking awesome production, this album wouldn't be getting that many spins. But I'm digging Grouch's shit more and more. Hands down best "solo" Grouch album since 1999. 4.25-4.5 stars.

How you gonna say that, but name Bicasso the underrated producer in the other thread? DJ Fresh is definitely doing his thing in the bay.
