Calm down Wu-Tang dick rider.... lol, Blu and Exile, an out of print album most of the world doesnt give a fuck about has no merits defeating two of the most critically acclaimed albums ive ever seen this decade, one of which is acknowledged by Spin, The Wire, The Source, Rolling Stone, Vibe, etc. for how good it was, and peaked at #7 in Billboard, featuring an MC with arguably one of the most unconventional rhyme styles ever seen on a mainstream release the other, being an underground album that made its way into the Billboard top 200, and was recognized by outlets such as Entertainment Weekly, and Spin, and other major media outlets, and was praised for its originality in an otherwise stagnant genre at the time.. then, we get to the winner, among all three, a great album nonetheless, yet may have went "double plastic", copper if it was lucky, really didnt bring anything new or original to the table at all, just a hungry MC spitting over good beats, and in 15 years most people who talk about great hip hop albums this decade will not even remember this album existed

| Slang, I don't disagree with you. Supreme Clientele is the better album IMO as well.
That said, if Below The Heavens were up against an album you weren't feelin as much, you wouldn't have an issue. |

| Below the Heavens may become the underground classic that announced the arrival of next decade's greatest emcee, or Blu may fade away and it will be remembered as an obscure gem. Can't say right now, while with Doom & Ghost we know where they stand pretty much. I'm not upset with Blu winning though, because just on quality it stands side by side with the other 2 albums. | |

| Co-sign Slang...
This is why polls are retarded. The votes don't accurately reflect the responses. Should we count the votes of the inactive? We should type in our votes. And, if a vote isn't voiced, then it goes to the wayside.
Not trying to be an ass, but the ghost voter thing is gay, IMO.

Not trying to be an ass, but the ghost voter thing is gay, IMO. This thing would have been better served tournament style like when Slang did with the best produced albums. While it still wouldn't insure that the best album wins, we'd probably get better deserved albums when it got deep and only a select few would have been nominated. But I co-sign your opinion on the ghost votes. |
