| Top 100 easily IMO.
You know, Will Smith is one of the most underrated rappers of all time. People like to dis him because he doesn't curse in his rhymes or raps about non-hood issues, but in his "Fresh Prince" days he was dope and released 2 classic albums, this being one of them.

| I voted top 100. Not sure if it belongs there or not since it's my 3rd favorite from these two, so I included instead of excluding. | |

3rd favorite? I could've sworn you always said this was your favorite.

| He's The DJ is the best IMO. Rock The House is the only other one that comes close. |

Sorry, I had a brain fart... This is indeed my favorite from them. A Touch of Jazz is the shiznit. I still have the extended version on wax. Homebase is #2 and He's The DJ...is #3. All three albums are 5 Stars in my book, though.

"Date: 1869"
I'll have to turn down your suggestion to get with the times if it takes me back to those days... lol

| Oh shit... lmao
My bad. I thought we were discussing Rock The House (thus the "Touch of Jazz" comment). Al's avatar threw me off.
Toss this one in the brain fart pile...
I'll reexamine, though. Alan may be right...

| Top 25.
This is a significant album in Hip Hop history. Philly was already on the map but this album gave the city a stronger voice!

| I think Homebase is overrated because of Summertime.
That's my fav song by them, but Homebase is a 4 star album IMO. |

| Nah, Homebase is dope from top to bottom.
Dumb Dancin', Who Stole The DJ?, A Dog Is A Dog, Summertime (Reprise), The Boy Is Smooth, Ring My Bell, Caught In The Middle (Love & Life), Trapped on the Dance Floor...
There's nothing skip worthy for FP fans on that album. Summertime is undeniably classic, but I play Dumb Dancin' way more. It's just a "feel good" album free of flaws, IMO...

Homebase is skip proof IMO. But no love for "I'm All That"? Gotta say that may be my favorite. Love Prince's storytelling there...top notch. All those tracks you listed are key as well. At one point I gave this album 4.5 stars. In the past 2 years or so, it's always a 5-star listen. They just matured so well here.

| I haven't spun Homebase in ages, but I remember not liking it as much as He's The DJ, Rock The House, or even And In This Corner (which I have at 4.5 stars). I'll revisit it sometime though. |

lol...forgot that one. It's dope as well. Dumb Dancin' is my favorite on the album, but both Summertimes and Trapped on the Dance Floor are right behind it. Yeah KJ...give it a shot, it's aged very well. And In This Corner at 4.5 though? Hmmm...maybe I have some revisiting to do as well. I have that one at the bottom of the JJ & FP pile with Code Red (like them both though).

I Think I Can Beat Mike Tyson, Everything That Glitters, The Girlie Had A Mustache, Numero Uno, and Too Damn Hype. My two favorites though are the ones that highlight Jeff's beats. Jeff Was On The Beat Box, and Jazzy's Groove. |

I'd give it around 4.5 stars as well. I like it a fair amount more than Code Red, which is at the bottom IMO. I Think I Can Beat Mike Tyson is one of their best singles IMO.
