| MNM really pulled a close one yesterday and I will check throughout the day in case it changes to a tie or something. Lets see how a highly a rated 8Ball & MJG album and one of the most talked about albums from that era fair today. Let the games begin again. |

| Well, for me it's a toss up between On Top of The World and Reasonable Doubt. Today i think i'll vote for RD. | |

| Tribe...and it's not even close IMO. Ball & G would get 2nd easily.
I'll be serving up the same answer until you include Pete Rock & CL Smooth "Mecca & The Soul Brother" in the lineup...since that particular ATCQ album is my #2 all time favorite.

| For me it's a toss up between MM and Reasonable Doubt. I'll give RD the slight edge.
The Low End Theory would win every matchup for me though other than Illmatic. |

| Tribe by a bit...Reasonable Doubt is a great debut though from Jay, but again Marauders is a fuckin masterpiece...a completely brilliant hip-hop recording...plain and simple!
hmmm from the 90's...joints that could either beat it or tie it or maybe even be thought about in the same ball park IMO are:
In no particular order:
Raekwon-Only Built For Cuban Linx Wu-Tang-Enta The 36 Chambers Outkast-ATLiens Ghostface-Ironman KRS-One-Return Of The Boom Bap KRS-One-KRS-One LL Cool J-Mama Said Knock You Out Pete Rock And CL Smooth-Mecca And The Soul Brother Brand Nubian-One For All Nas-Illmatic Lauryn Hill-The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill DMX-It's Dark And Hell Is Hot Mobb Deep-The Infamous (I know it already lost but it's close IMO) Snoop Dogg-Doggystyle Dr.Dre-The Chronic Heavy D And The Boyz-Blue Funk (this is more of a personal pick) GZA-Liquid Swordz(This wouldn't be one of my picks but I know how much it's revered on this forum) A Tribe Called Quest-The Low End Theory 2Pac-Me Against The World 2Pac-All Eyez On Me(again wouldn't be one of my picks but I know you guys LOVE this joint..lol) Biggie-Life After Death Biggie-Ready To Die Big Pun-Capital Punishment (this one is highly underrated IMO) Outkast-Aquemini (again wouldn't be one of my picks but I know the drill...lol) Goodie Mob-Soul Food The Fugees-The Score (I've heard this album mentioned in other places as being in many heads top 5 of all-time) Camp Lo-Uptown Saturday Night X-Clan-To The East Blackwards Eminem-The Slim Shady LP Ice Cube-Death Certificate Pete Rock And CL Smooth-The Main Ingredient
I'm sure I've forgotten quite a few, but that's the beauty of the 90's...and I'm not saying that any of those listed are even better, but I could see most of them being mentioned(keyword is MOST) as being near that Tribe masterpiece IN MY OPINION....maybe a few of those will unseat this joint and keep it interesting...who knows....hey it's all opinion driven anyway right?? so no big deal..we will all still like whatever it was that we already liked before this poll anyway..lol!

| I'd go with Jay Z just over MM. I like "Top of the World" too but not as much as these 2. | |
