How does 17 for 50, 1 for 100, and 0 for neither equal top 100? Only 1 person voted 100 AND neither. That's roughly 94% for top 50

Of course that would make sense Shon.

But according to jason - his system means a vote for top 50 is a vote for top 100 and top 50

so in that scenario you would have 1 more vote for top 100 than top 50 according to his simple logical system.

You're not following my system, you're following a misunderstanding of my system. You think my system would give a point value of 17 for top 50 and 18 for top 100, right? But as I said, I didn't lay out a points system, it's a logical system, that requires less math. For a points system, you need to work it like Shon said, give a higher point value to top 50 votes.

It is not a logical system Jason - your system was flawed until you added the points in it - it's not that hard to see and admit that - but if you want to remain stubborn do you.

You don't even understand what I was talking about, which is made clear by your example. My way would NOT say what you think it would. I think you're just confusing yourself, and making it way more complicated than it is.

SRP, again, put it this way. Say 1 vote for top 50, and 1 vote for neither. Where would this artist go? Top 100, right?

In this scenario, I'd say this should be top 100 like Steve said. Because those 3 "niether" votes should probably cancel out 3 of the "top 50" votes. Either way, their are more votes against it being top 50 than for it.
