Raekwon - Blood on Chef's Apron (Mixtape 2009)

I got this earlier today and bumped it twice already and i must say its a really good mixtape. Most of the production is done by B.T. which i think is Rae's son??? correct me if im wrong which i might be....but he does a good job. There are a lot of guests on here The Game, B Real, Joel Ortiz, Noreaga, AZ, Jadakiss, Twista and Busta Rhymes.

The mixtape flows really nicely from song to song and the interludes are pretty funny and he assures that CL2 is indeed coming this summer and this mixtape is the appetizer for the full course meal (in his words lol).

My favorite song is the one with B-Real called "R.I.P.", B-real and Rae both rip it and im feelin the beat a lot. The other standout tracks are "Flashback Memories", "Beauty", "Whips & Kicks", "Cocaine Blunts" (Rae rapping over the "Groundbreaking" instrumental from Gza's Protools album), and "Gutterman Music" (that Rush sample is grimey)...

anyways there really arent any bad tracks and its dope enough to listen to straight through....as far as mixtapes go id give this a 9/10 on a mixtape scale....

all in all, this just got me more pumped for OB4CL2
anyone else get this? what do you think?

yea, I listened to this while getting some dome today, so I didn't really get the whole experience. But from what I did catch, it does sound pretty good.

And Shon if you've ever heard either Ye's or Twista's earlier works you'd realize they both have a LOT of similarities stylistically. Ye used to produce for some pretty gangsta groups in Chicago and Twista used to be on some Common type shit. Even EC Illa was on some boom bap back in the day and now they're all on some gangsterisms. Thanks Psychodrama. REALLY thank you.
