The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory- 2Pac/Makaveli

This would make my personal top 60-75. One of his three bonified classic albums.

This does have a gay title.... but top easily for me.

I voted Top 100. While objectively it's probably better than that, there's at least 75 albums I dig more.

Top 50 EASILY. and if LAD is a classic, than so is AEOM(aside from the opinions of a few east coast heads who shall remain nameless) because they should both be held to the same standard. Tons of dope material with a few weak tracks, and at least one flat out wack song on both albums. So, i co-sign Kev. this is one of Pac's 3 classics

I cosign T. Myers. If "Life After Death" is a classic than AEOM has to be a classic. Very comparable albums. However, i don't think either are classics. Both 4.25-4.5.

All Eyez On Me is really not that good IN MY OPINION....that's just a Suge Knight project...but this which you can tell Pac put way more effort into and Me Against The World which really showed Pac tapping into that emotional side of him are his two classics IN MY OPINION!

it's not even close....not only is Biggie killing him on lyrical prowess....but also beats...flow (even using that Bone, Thugs style for one song) and Life After Death just plays out like a really good movie


All Eyez On Me is the record that Suge Knight wishes he could've recorded himself...he wishes he was the emcee on that one...lol

I find it funny that you and KJ seem to be the biggest Biggie fans on the forum, and you two(especially you Powell) seem to be the ones who think there is a huge divide between LAD and AEOM. No offense, but I personally think that is more than just a coincidence. I'm sorry, but that divide is not there. I can't see more than a .5 star difference either way depending on your preference.

I can promise you that AEOM is preferred over LAD in the south, midwest, and on the west coast. Why do you think that is? Like i said there isn't a huge divide between the two albums. 1.) the vast majority of people who feel like you and KJ(and i really shouldn't include Kj cause i think he still gives AEOM 4.25 stars) are east coast people

2.) I'm fairly certain i can speak for my friends and family in Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio(midwest), and they prefer AEOM(also, Slang prefers AEOM if i'm not mistaken, and where is he from?).

3.) last time i checked, i live in the south, and i can say with 100% certainty that Pac is the overwhelming favorite

4.) As for the west coast, isn't that obvious?

Again Terry the numbers of people your throwing are pretty small man...you can't speak for the entire nation my dude...you would need to take a poll to see what people actually thought about each album and even if All Eyez On Me won that poll I would still believe that it is a 3 star album

Which leads me to my point.....this forum thinks me and Powell are crazy for thinking Life After Death is better than All Eyez On Me, when I can pinpoint just about every member of this forum and pinpoint a FAR MORE INSANE opinion that y'all have. While I don't hate AEOM as much as Powell does, I don't feel it's a classic and I prefer LAD. The album ALSO recieved 5 mics in the Source, so we're not the only two people in the world that feel it's a classic. GET OVER IT!!!

AEOM is one of those hip hop albums that will be played and talked about forever by us heads. Matter of fact I bet more people prefer it over LAD nationwwide. Because once LAD leaves the nothern east coast statelines its out of its comfort zone and things get interesting.

I don't think you're crazy for liking LAD more. I merely said LAD and AEOM(which also received 5 mics in the Source) are in the same boat, and if LAD can be considered classic so can AEOM.

Rakim is MUCH MORE than above average/good lyrically, and the same things you said about AEOM can be said about LAD. I think the people that prefer AEOM more also prefer Pac to Biggie. So it goes both ways as far as preference is concerned.

All Eyez On Me was Pac's get outta jail card..notice I said get outta jail card but I did not mention get outta jail FREE...he owed somebody some duckets and this album paid that shit off...his name at the time was probably the biggest in hip-hop so that name brand alone helped to sell and promote the album but that doesn't necessarily mean the album is good...and in this case IN MY OPINION the album is not good at all but very average! again IN MY OPINION!

But anyways, for me personally his talent cannot be denied, however I don't like to listen to his music anymore cos I got to a point where I was totally sick of it, everywhere I went all people would talk about is 2pac.. and be playing his music. I just had enough and rather listen to others. However after a long break I might just spin some of his stuff again some day soon, see if it sparks again.

A sad thing is that he was very smart, but he fell into/chose to go the whole thug route, which I do not believe that was REALLY him. He coulda risen himself far above that if he wanted to, but then again he was young so who knows, maybe in time he may have gone away from that and risen to higher things. Just my opinion.
