| Kanye when he actually gave a shit (assuming he gave a shit in the first place). Kweli fresh off of Reflection Eternal with the fire still there.
I'll say top 50. Ye made some of the best beats of that decade and this is one of them, IMO.
Can't wait to hear Reflection Eternal's new shit. The Sauce gave it 4.5 mics...

I'm lookin forward to that album too, but fuck The Source. If they gave it 4.5 then chances are it should have gotten 5. |

Likewise. I'm not sure if they'll ever recover from the damage that Benzino did to their reputation. I was a subscriber before he fucked everything up. |

| You know...I sort of stopped fuckin' with The Source somewhere around the jiggy/No Limit era. Shit was far too predictable and corny. I remember jumping ship as soon as a I found new options (XXL, Rap Pages, Murder Dog, etc...). I simply wasn't aware of my options up until that point.
It's sad they dropped the ball the way they did. They had a major presence in hip hop for a long, long time. It was almost like you coud take their ratings straight to the bank and come up all aces every time. I still have my old mags, though. Nice to stroll through memory lane occasionally.

| I still support the Source because the new management has done a good job changing the negetive taste Ben left in folks mouth. I never took their ratings to heart so maybe thats the difference in why I still support thme and some don't. |

| I don't know if "taking their ratings to heart" is it, but they became rather dependable. Once they lost that, they lost me because, really, that was pretty much all I cared about.
I agree that the tone has changed, but that shit should have been the focus when Benzino was there. He wasn't the majority owner. They could have pushed him out then too...

Really? I'm also looking forward to it. Ear Drum was a complete banger and I still spin it, so I have high hopes. As for this cut...neither. I rarely listen to "Quality" though. Never did feel i that much.

I still give it a 4, but I never listen to it because I never tire of Reflection Eternal of Ear Drum. And if I do, I listen to Black Star, and if I'm tired of all those, I listen to one of my other 2,000 CDs.

| I've got Quality and Eardrum both rated at 4.5 personally. Guerilla Monsoon Rap is the dopest song on either LP IMO. |

Yeah, there's only a slim margin between the two, but Quality has far more standout tracks like Guerilla Monsoon Rap, Rush, Get By, Waiting For The DJ, Joy, Gun Music, Put It In The Air(who knew Kweli and Quik would be so dope together?), and The Proud. There just aren't as many on Eardrum, but Country Cousins and Say Something come to mind instantly. All in all, both are exceptional, and i think Kweli is extremely underrated when you consider how dope his discog is.
