I knew Mos was not going to win the whole thing. I honestly think its going to be a Wu album that wins for this decade and it deserves it. They were the most original grp in hip hop period and made a impact without having the most accessibile songs. Kast would be another great choice. But only the polls will tell.

The year really has nothing to do with it. There's a few albums from 1999 that are among my favs. It's just that 36 Chambers (while not my fav album of the decade) is one of the dopest albums of all time.

Kev might as well throw 36 Chambers against the Purple Tape and LS tommorrow.

I figured 36 Chambers was going to win once we started this thread. Just look at the results for Top 100 AOAT when it was nominated.

...I do like BOBS better, though.

It's all good, it's just a matter of opinion.

As far as 90's albums go. I like Illmatic, The Low End Theory, and Ready To Die better than 36 Chambers personally. But since they've all been eliminated, 36 Chambers will get my vote the rest of the way.

Yeah, Illmatic was my album of the 90's, too. I knew it wouldn't win, though. I actually have a number of 90's albums ahead of 36 Chambers, now that I think about it.

Going with my favorite Gang Starr album.

Wu probably deserves it. But I bump the Gang Starr way more.
