This one is really tough as I have Straight Outta Compton and Long Live The Kane ranked around the same area.
I'll go with NWA just barely. If it were It's A Big Daddy Thing though I would have went with Kane.

The best song out of all 3 of the albums listed IN MY OPINION....Kane murdered his debut with Marley's help...as great as NWA is not even they could fuck with Kane's effort IN MY OPINION!
Long Live The Kane wins comfortably!

I don't disagree with that. but the race between these two albums is very close IN MY OPINION. I bump Straight Outta Compton slightly more so I voted for NWA. I wouldn't be upset with LLTK winning though.
As I said above, if it were It's A Big Daddy Thing, I would have voted for Kane. I like it better than his debut overall.

Damn! I missed a good one.
I would have been the only one to vote for "Paul's Boutique". Though to be honest, that and the N.W.A are neck and neck....both top 10 albums of all time for me. But Beastie Boys would have got the vote anyway because nobody likes them that much around here.

I like the Beasties, but I like Licensed To Ill much more than Paul's Boutique even though both are classics. Neither of them beat SOC or LLTK though IMO.

Yeah, I'm glad you dig the Beasties too KJ. Artistically speaking, I'd say the production from Dust Brothers rivals Marley Marl's work on LLTK. Of course BDK is a better rapper/lyricist than all the Beastie Boys, but the fluidity the 3 of them made as a unit is comparable in my eyes...obviously depending on taste. I have no argument for N.W.A though. lol

Yeah, Licensed To Ill may have one this match up, but Paul's Boutique was never a contender here.

You would have picked Beastie Boys over both of these, Terry? I'm surprised, but maybe I shouldn't be, now remembering you said you loved that album before. Just out of curiosity, how is Paul's Boutique, apparently, not in the same league as "Licensed To Ill"? Critically speaking, I think you'll find more that say Paul's Boutique was their finest album. Musically (like impact...what it did for sampling) and rapping (arguable, depending on how much you dig their frat boy tales) I'd say it rivals the debut. Classic singles are the clincher for most I would think. I got about as many on PB though...
Personal classics from Paul's Boutique:

Licensed To Ill is in my top 10. I love the energy, production and chemistry on the album. Paul's Boutique is widely considered their masterpiece. It just doesn't resonate for me. To be perfectly honest. The album can seem kinda forced. The production, as stellar as it may be, seems a little foreign. It doesn't have that natural organic vibe that Licensed To Ill had. The Dust Brothers intended for the production to be an instro album, and it kinda shows IMO.

Forced, huh?
Well, I can see where you're coming from with the feel of the first album. That "little foreign" part may be the reason I like it more. lol...a lot of those songs are just straight up different and unique. That's why I like 'em.

Forced wasn't the right choice of words. It just doesn't feel as natural.

I hear you there. Licensed to Ill is definitely more accessible. Like, "High Plains Drifter" is just a weird fuckin' song. "The Sounds Of Science" has all those crazy time changes. "Looking Down The Barrel Of A Gun" is basically a punk song. All those crazy samples...but it's probably why I dig it more...lol. I see what you mean though.

N.W.A. and Kane's albums are classics, but I gotta go with N.W.A. on this one.

And after all that I accidentally voted for N.W.A when I meant to vote for Beastie Boys.
