Any of you remember Rampage's (from the Flipmode Squad) debut album from 97 "Scout's Honor... By Way Of Blood"? Your thoughts.

Solid LP. 3 / 3.5 territory. If he wasn't related to Busta, he'd have never even sniffed a deal, but he did have some solid party joints on there and there were a handful of dope tracks. I'd cop it again if it was cheap enough.

Not great, not terrible...

Is that the album with the terrible album cover? Rampage has to be the ugliest rapper ever, next to Krondon.

I loved his rappin back on Busta's album The Coming I thought he was crazy, still do. Bought his album (splashed out $34.99 for that one, I recall Shaking My Head ) and I didn't mind most of it but at the same time not overly great. I would stand by Norf's evaluation. The album would not do much for me now days, although I haven't heard it in years now. I would recommend to anyone who hasn't yet abandoned ship! and still digs something like When Disaster Strikes and The Coming.

Both Rampage albums were lackluster and incomplete. His voice is too bland, When he came out e was one of the very few hardcore rappers from NY. He had a perfect oppurtunity to show and prove but he fumbled twice,

Dope tracks indeed. I stay bangin "Flipmode Iz Da Squad". They knew how to make some hype posse cuts back in the day.

That was not a good album cover at all, so I'm with you on that one.

I got my copy off of Ebay, a very good copy for about $3.00. I don't normally get anything used, but this is one of the exceptions. Plus, I wanted this album back in 97 when it came out, but I never got the chance to get it until now.
