If I didn't have to work the next morning I would go to the show. But I'll order this album nonetheless. I don't expect to find it at wack ass Best Buy or FYE.

Selectohits is dsitributing... they usually stock Best Buy. And don't punk out for no work KJ.
It's possible but I'd get little to no sleep the next morning, and I need it.
You could take a nap before you go, then go, then nap before work. That's what I would do. Powell is offering to introduce you to Sadat and get your CDs signed.
If y'all had physical jobs then y'all would understand. It takes 40 mins to get to NYC (even longer if there's traffic) and I have to get up anywhere between 5 and 6am to go to work.
If this show were on a Friday or Saturday night I would go, but all that hassle I'd have to go through to attend isn't worth it. Besides, I've met rappers before, and I've seen most of the guys on the card in concert before, including Brand Nubian.
You're just nitpicking at me. I love hip-hop as much as anyone in this forum and probably more than most. But you have no right to criticize because you don't know my situation.
My job has been very slow this winter, but now it's starting to become spring and it's starting to boom so I need the money. As much as I love hip-hop, having money in my pockets and paying my bills is more important. If you don't understand that then it's whatever.
SMH, I went to FYE, called Hastings, Best Buy, Borders, and Barnes and Noble. None of them had this album in stock. If this is distributed by Select-O-Hits and he can't get it in stores, there's something seriously wrong. At least Puba's joint was in the stores.

Agreed Terry...it should be readily available man...I'm going to talk to him about what you said tonight and let him know that his shit is missing...thanks for the info man!
I'm still gonna get it man, but there's not too much better than being able to walk into a cd store Tuesday afternoon and pick up the new hotness. Having to order it almost seems like a let down, but i know the music is still gonna be dope.

Hey Terry the party was SICK man...Kris wasn't there, but there were live performances from OC and AG (they killed shit)..Craig G (it was his birthday) he was coming off crazy with the freestyles...Brand Nubian (complete with Puba who did some solo hits)..Lords Of The Underground (who did Funky Child and Chief Rocka)....Freddie Foxxx did a few freestyles (dude is even bigger in person)..Pete Rock and CL took to the stage and did a few joints (The Creator, T.R.O.Y. Straighten It Out)....and of course D did some new shit off the album and a bunch of freestyles (he was killin those)
he is having some distribution issues which he said he's working on...I passed along that info you gave me..so he claims he's working on shit...I told him those final numbers are gonna possibly look fucked up...Industry Rule number 4080..."record company people are SHADY"....lol
but the party as a whole was SICK...you should've came through KJ...I'm wide awake right now man and we got out at 4:30am...lol..U missed it man!

Cool, I forgot to order it last night. So, I'll order it tonight after i get your feedback.
I would have loved to go to the party. But I had to get up at 5 this morning and worked basically non-stop from 5:35 until about 20 minutes ago, and I'd still be working had it not been for the 2nd house cancelling. Not to mention that it takes me anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour to get to the city, and the same amount of time to get home.
It's all good though, I'm one of the few in here with a physical job, and this will the first week since mid-December that I will be working a decent amount of hours so I couldn't afford to risk it. When I party, I PARTY....meaning I consume mad alcohol and would have had to leave early and that would have pissed me off.
While I would have liked to have gone, I ultimately don't regret my decision. I'm used to being dissed in this forum so I'm probably talking on deaf ears.
No diss KJ. You make an honest living working hard. No one is gonna clown you for that or for being responsible.
CO-SIGNAGE...come on KJ your getting a little sensitive on this one man..it's all good that you couldn't go man...earning a living always comes first with me man...so I completely understand that part of the game my dude...
