| That vote was pitiful. I will go Z-ro again, though I have a feeling the Nas lovers won't be respectfully declining to vote this go round. |

Nope, they won't. We all know Powell hasn't heard the Ro album, and we all know KJ will say he's heard it even if it's a lie. They will both vote for Nas. N3R0 will admit to not hearing Z-Ro, but he will still post something on here cause he craves attention. Slang will say he needs to step his Z-Ro game up Alan won't see this until after tomorrow's poll is posted, but he will state who he would have voted for. Shaun will LOL, and then vote for Z-Ro Cise won't vote cause these nominees aren't boring and foreign enough for him. Kev will vote for Z-Ro cause it's his favorite Ro album and it's betta than the other two Jason will vote for someone, but we don't know who since he never declares a vote. Tran will vote for Nas since it is his fav from him, but we all know he doesn't own the Ro album cause it costs more than $5. Instead he's listening to the Cool Kids. Norf will probably vote, and his response will be diplomatic and condescending at the same time. and then there will be a dozen ghost votes for Nas. Thread closed. On to the next one.

| I can't choose right now. All 3 are top notch to me. I got Ro at 4.5, LAX 4.25-4.5, and God's Son at 4.25-4.5. This is hard. |

| Based on your own ratings, how is this a hard choice? Ro is the only one at a steady 4.5... |

| Because that rating really means nothing to me win I judge albums personally. Its mostly about the feel and how much I rotate them. I post ratings for you guys really to see where i'm coming from. |

| If its your favorite out of the three it is all good!
And K. Rob - I don't really understand your logic there - are you saying your ratings are not an accurate reflection of how you feel about each album but an attempt at you to objectively rate them?
If so, what are your personal ratings for each album? That's all that really matters IMO. |

I always for other people try to judge the albums objectively without to much of my favortism. Music is more of a vibe with me but thats hard to describe so I guess thats why we need ratings. Personal wise I probably feel LAX more than all of them but I'm not sure if its betta than the other two. I'll take Ro and Game over that Nas album. So I have narrowed it down between the two. Z Ro album is more consistant than LAX since I only skip one song on it. But LAX has more standout trks I think. |

Here's the long and short of it... KJ runs around here calling ETS a 5 star album every chance he gets and defending it... terry was on amazon the other day looking for an old link and ran across a post where KJ stated ETS was "4-4.25 stars at best" |

| Here you go Slang. Kool John says: Heltah Skeltah- Nocturnal A EXTREMELY underrated album! I rate it at 4.5 stars. All of the songs save for maybe 3-4 are BANGERS! I say it's better than Black Moon's Enta The Stage, and on par with Smif N Wessun's Da Shinin. Leflaur Leflah Eshkoshka is my favorite Boot Camp song of all time, and the production is PHENOMENAL!! It's a must have for any lyricist fan, especially B.C.C. fans. Standout tracks: LLE, Letha Brainz Blo, Understand, Therapy, Clan's Posse's Crew's & Clik's Shaun Borowski says: "I say it's better than Black Moon's Enta The Stage, and on par with Smif N Wessun's Da Shinin. " That's a bold statement, there. You have "Heltah Skeltah" at 4.5 stars, but it's better than "Enta The Stage"? I have to say, I respectfully disagree Kool John says: Don't get me wrong, I like Enta The Stage. But when I spin both albums, I find myself skipping fewer tracks on Nocturnal than I do Enta Da Stage. I'd say ETS is a 4/4.25 star album. For example. I don't like the original version of "I Got Cha Opin" at all, but the remix is AWESOME! Sadly, the remix isn't on the album. I like just about every track on Nocturnal save for 2-3 songs. http://www.amazon.com/tag/hip%20hop/forum/ref=cm_cd_pg_pg20?_encoding=UTF8&cdForum=Fx1PGP1ENM5L0H3&cdPage=20&cdSort=oldest&cdThread=TxO2SY3CDEKI9K&displayType=tagsDetail^^^^check page 20 if you want to read more | |

| I could objectively see ETS at 4 stars, for the record.
And also, it only makes sense that cats would vote without hearing Z-Ro's album. If you haven't heard the album, how could it possibly be in your top 100? I'm here to vote, not here to speculate what I may feel about an album if I hear it one day, and also the impact it may have on my life in the future. That's just plain gay.

However, we've all seen KJ go ape shit over people voting against albums that they may or may not be familiar with. And rating that album that low wasn't the issue. KJ proclaims it is a classic now. That seems like a huge jump to make from 4-4.25 stars.

Objectively, I guess I always knew it to be a classic. People go ape shit over the album. I like the album too, and I can see why people feel it's a classic, so often times I will simply acknowledge that particular album as a classic. A few other consensus classics fall into that category for me. But when it comes right down to it, I rarely listen to ETS for a variety of reasons, and I have a hard time making it through it fully to this day. I obviously feel their are some classics songs/moments on the album too though, and I've always dug the attitude/style of the album.

Music is different than food. I can try a bite or two, and feel I've just had some of the best pizza ever, if that was the case. Albums are different. I can't tell if an album is a personal classic after 1 listen, 3 listens, 5 listens, or sometimes 20 listens. To be honest, my rankings for the years 2007-2009 (since we've all bee talking back on Amazon...and even before that) have changed a bit because I've found that some albums over time got pushed to the side, while others still get bumped frequently to this day. And to answer you question, my answer has no credibility, which is why I stated my vote the way I did.

I understand that, and i can respect that cause that's been your stance since day 1. However, we've all seen KJ go ape shit over people voting against albums that they may or may not be familiar with.
And rating that album that low wasn't the issue. KJ proclaims it is a classic now. That seems like a huge jump to make from 4-4.25 stars. Actually, I hate to say, I've done the same thing. Objectively, I guess I always knew it to be a classic. People go ape shit over the album. I like the album too, and I can see why people feel it's a classic, so often times I will simply acknowledge that particular album as a classic. Yeah, i respect it's classic rating, but i don't see it being anywhere close to a classic. 4 stars is about right for me.

Well, some may say it's a classic just because it's an east coast album from the golden age. lol

I'm not beating anything. Your posts from Amazon speak louder than i ever could. Would you like to acknowledge the gaping holes in your opinions, or would you prefer to just let it go and hope it all goes away? The choice is yours. I really don't care which route you choose.

| the problem i have with not voting on an album just bc u didnt hear others is this:
Say your album of the 00's is nominated and you havent heard one of the other albums, and neither has most of the forum, but the ppl that have heard it vote for it. So then like 4 people vote for an album and theres not much voting going on and then the less heard album wins and the other album which is widely heralded and recognized doesn't advance

I mean, we knew going in that maybe 5 people had actually heard the Ro album.
