if its something that I should check out then if enough of you are in agreement on that I'll pick it up this weekend
as of now:

| Not religious. Very practical everyman material. At least, the Big Jess albums were. Above average production, for the most part, and decent Mic skills.
Unfortunately, though, I haven't heard this album.

| It's too "Christian" for me, but I'm a staunch athiest. Christian themes and whatnot don't bother me much, but this is a little too overt for my tastes. There's nothing wrong with the music, it's just whether or not you're a fan of this style. |

| Regardless of your belief, if we learn to coexist life would be so much simpler. Respect is a two-way street To say you love God and then turn around and slam someone else's belief is very troubling. | |

Atheism is not a belief, it's a lack of belief. Atheists don't believe in God and mainly clown those who do. I'm sorry, but that disgusts me. I'm not a bible thumper and I don't want to make this a preachy discussion, but I am very spiritual and based on the blessings that God has given me, nobody can honestly convince me that he doesn't exist. |

| No one in this thread is trying to convince you of anything. In fact, whenever anyone gives an opinion you don't agree with you go on some tirade about. Get over yourself and be more respectful and people will respect you. I'm sure that is in the bible somewhere. |

One of my best friends in high school was one and he was really down to earth. I don't look down someone just because they have a different belief. If you are so "spiritual" then you wouldn't have made such an asinine statement. I'm not sure if you were making a sick joke but if not you really have some soul searching to do and I mean that with all due respect.

Don't turn this into something it isn't. You bashed a group of people based on their beliefs(or lack there of). Your faith doesn't have to come at the expense of others. Don't try to emphasize your faith by disrespecting another. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs. It's as simple as that.

I'm not sure if you were making a sick joke but if not you really have some soul searching to do and I mean that with all due respect. I'm not a hateful person by any means. It's just that I've had bad experiences with atheists. Maybe they're not all the same so I apologize if I've stereotyped you, but it seems that when you even mention God to one of them, they cringe or look at you like some type of crazy person. I know that I cannot turn an atheist into a believer, nor am I trying to do so. I just know based on experience that God is very much real and loves everyone equally. I've also found out that when you form a relationship with him, he'll bless you even more. For example, 2008 (at least the first half of it) was a terrible year for me, but 2009 was a wonderful year for the most part. During the summer/fall of '08 I started praying and talking to God on a regular basis, and he blessed me bigtime. While there's still some room for improvement, I'm in a much better situation now than I was prior to forming a relationship with God. I've always been a believer, but I didn't really have that strong of a relationship with him other than when I was a kid. Now that I've formed one, I realize he's a friend that will never abandon me or do me dirty no matter what I'm going through and will always have my back and turn my life around. So basically Cise, I got nothing personal against you, Pounds, or anybody else here who may be atheist just as long as you don't clown Christianity like many other atheists do. We can definitely co-exist peacefully under those conditions. It's all gravy. |

| For the record I'm also a Christian and I can relate to some of the things you've said. I respect you for clarifying yourself and can understand what a few negative experiences can do.
I've said some pretty questionable things myself that I wish I could take back and people eventually forgave me for it. I hope others can do the same for you as I don't think you really meant any malice.
I hope any hard feelings can be quashed from here as it was just a simple misunderstanding.

It's just that when I hear that term being flaunted, it rubs me the wrong way based on the negative experiences I've had. I've come to realize that not all Athiests are the same, just as all Christians aren't the same. So it's all gravy man. |

This album man. lol This is their best group album IMO (the group consists of Big Jess (producer/rhymes), Mad Son (rhymes), Willie D (cuts/scratching)). I like Big Jess "Good Clean Fun 2: The Super Jump Off" just as much though (he has 3 solo albums). Those are definitely the 2 to start with.

Nero has brought it up before, so maybe he's a bit more sensitive about it. Would you agree KRS-One (among other rappers) had "some" faith based lyrics on some of his material? I mean, a reference here and there? Again, not talking about his Spiritual Minded album either. A lot of emcees throw in a few lyrics related to their faith just a little. That's all this is. I've been listening to these guys for 7 years, and it never even occurred to me to throw some type of "Christian" label on them. I've honestly never really seen it done before Nero did it. For instance Braille is a "Christian Rapper" - because he jams that god stuff down your throat when you listen to his music. Not the angle UP's go for at all!
