What ever happened to this up & comer?

Bishop Lamont. I thought he was the next big thing.

He's still around dropping mixtapes... as recently as last year or something... but he's with all those LA dudes who are all hype no delivery... Bishop, Glasses Malone, Crooked I, etc. etc. - if Crooked I hasn't dropped a CD in 12 years in the game then these other dudes have no hope. It's almost like LA cultured itself to only allow big hitters or majors to matter so these dudes refuse to man up and just drop independent.

Thats crazy to me SRP and I agree. How do their cousins right under them in the Bay master the independent game but they don't?

As an answer to your inquiry, I would say because those LA cats are looking for handouts from the big labels as well as veterans. They just don't grind as hard as those dudes from the Bay.

These cats want the gusto. Bay cats no theres no hope with big labels. Also with Wacka Flocka blowing up thats like a slap to all those who grinded so hard to be able to have a radio hit
