Yeah, K does control SPC. Dunno if this is really greed or just bad business. He recently dropped all his other CDs to 10 on his site, from 15.

He should have sold his CDs wholesale to drive up a higher price, but I don't know if he didn't think ahead like that or just had to make the choice of whether or not to make the sacrifice? I know locally some dude is even selling it as cheap as 8.99. And I know sometimes Selectohits handles his distribution nationwide.

I don't think he purposefully is trying to screw his biggest fans. But I am a stan so who knows.

It's dope. Real dope. The only real gripe I have is that the production blends together as the album wears on. It was to be expected, though.

I agree with Shaun to a point. I just don't think the beats blend together much. I feel its one of his best produced albums. I do feel disc 2 has some semi weak moments but what disc 2 doesn't..lol.

My only true small small gripe is the overall vibe and topics of the album does not fit the title of the album imo. But this is just after one listen.

Top 5 for this year easily though.

I like the production, too. It's just that all the in house producers use the same sounds and drums for a lot of the tracks; makes it run together.

I noticed that, too, but it's a double album, so I didn't really expect it to have all one general concept.

After a full spin, the album is really good. Disc 1 is dope as hell, but disc 2 is a bit inconsistent. The 11 minute SPC collabo track(Spit Sumthin) is great except for the forum mc.

Alright, I have this around 4.5-4.75 stars. Disc 2 is 5 stars, straight up. Best disc of the year, disc 1 is around a 4 or 4.25, though.

This album is 100% on point. It's nice not to be surprised by some switched up styles.

I don't agree with pac, cube, nas, ATCQ, mega, or rakim off that list... it took mega almost a decade to drop his three albums... rakim only dropped two albums at that level in a row... nas only dropped two semi dope albums in a row. same with cube and tribe.. and pac...

and if you take into account his other albums and their level no one in the history of the game has matched his consistency, output, volume, quality, etc.

Pac, Cube, and Rakim dropped 3 (or more) 5 star albums in a row.
