Thsi song was produced by Rick Rubin (with keyboards, etc by Mike Shinoda and DJ Hahn)
Keep in mind, that Mike Shinoda has a real rap album that's incredibly dope IMO in Fort Minor

I can't see the video. What song is this? Also, are we voting on the group or just the song?

I guess i'd call them rock/hiphop. I love their first 2 albums but haven't heard any since.

you say its always the group but then you fucking sit here and put a hip-hop influenced song and make a point of pointing out all the hip-hop elements in that one song. If it is the group post a true representation of their work over a few songs.

I try to post their most hip hop inspired work, fool. The video is just a reference in case some one might have heard a song by them but not recognize the name. You tell me to do the threads then get all nitpicky on me.

Overall, no. Rap Metal is more like it, but not "Hip-Hop". At least the way I define it. I'm sure some will say otherwise. This is more like whatever the hell Nu Metal "evolved" into.

I feel the same way. They gained some cred through Shinoda's ventures and the Jay-Z collabo. I think that's what pulls people in their direction.

Rock music with hip hop elements incorporated.
Just because you hear rapping doesn't make the song a hip hop track.
Word to Limp Bizkit...

They do use samples, the drummer definitely uses breakbeat inspired drum patterns, and there is a dj. Personally, I don't call 99% of the shit I nominate "hip hop" but I would say that this is more hip hop than most. But still, rap metal IMO.

A Good DJ at that. DJ Lethal has a pretty deep discog. Of course starting with House Of Pain.
EDIT: I'm not sure if you were referring to Limp Bizkit after reading this now...lol

Norf said something about Limp Bizkit, so I thought Nero was referring to that comment...my mistake.

I cant really put a solid seal on Linkin Park...they went from straight up turntable Nu-Metal to a new-age Depeche Mode...with turntables.
Definitely have traces of hip-hop in their sound..ive heard far worse "MCs" than Mike Shinoda..so yeah, not hip-hop per se, but theirs definitely hip-hop in their sound
remember when Incubus used to be on some P-Funk/old school RHCP/Alternative Metal shit?(S.C.I.E.N.C.E, one album of theirs ill admit to having, easy)..now their just sappy, e.m.o crap tailored for college chicks (for a long while too)

Do I REALLY need to go back to every one of these threads you've voted yes on because the lead singer "rapped"?
