Illmatic is considered a classic and one of the GOAT's by even non-Nas stans. Stillmatic is considered a near classic by most with the only consensus weak track being Braveheart Party. So to say it can't be considered classic even objectively is some straight up bullshit.

Let's do some maff. Hip hop is over 25 years old. If on average each region produced around 2 classic albums a year then the top fiddy could easily consist of nothing but 5 star albums.

I'll just have to respectfully disagree with you on this one KJ. My Top 3 would be One Mic, Ether and You're The Man. Although, I am a Nas fan, Rule & My Country never did anything for me. So with Braveheart Party being on here, that's why I have this at a 4.5

Heres the thing though...thats 2 Wu albums, 2 Ghost albums, 1 Gza album, 1 Meth album, and 1 Raekwon album...

Nas has two albums in my east top 50...Illmatic and It Was Written

So on an artist by artist basis Nas has the same amt of albums as Wu and Ghost, but more than Gza, Meth, and Raekwon

i wouldnt really call it stanning since you probably have something like 4 Nas solo albums

the rest of my east top 50 is pretty evenly spread out

the only "stan" pick i might have included is the Killarmy album

Good hip-hop is good hip-hop...thats all there is to it and the funny thing about it all is that IMO Nas is a better emcee than anyone who is in the Wu-Tang Clan....including GZA, Deck, Ghostface and Meth...I think he's better than all of those guys and those guys are great emcees in their own right....and I certainly think Nas is better than Big L could've ever been, and Big L is no slouch either

All of this talk about Nas this or Nas that is outright CORNY man.....that dude is one of the greatest hip-hop ARTISTS to ever even think about laying hands on the mic....anyone remotely aware of good hip-hop music should be able to see this without it being shown to them IMO.....Nas has done that himself over and over and over again....people are entitled to like whatever it is that they like but to question Nas's talents seems stupid to me......he hasn't been perfect throughout his career but he's still one of the greatest emcees to ever do it.....this is self explanatory IMO!
