And Eyedea was a houshold name. He won that Blaze Battle on HBO. You know, the one where Cappadonna lost in the first round? Hosted by KRS One? Yeah, that one. He was in a major label bidding war with Bad Boy and a few other labels. If you pay attention, you shoud know who Eyedea is.

I also haven't heard this but I would give E&A top 50, near the bottom.

Yeah, E&A is a lot better than this IMO.

I have heard of Eyedea from the ole Amazon days...still don't wanna really hear it though..is that cool?

That doesn't make him a household name. Several MC's that never blew up won high profile battle competitions. In fact, most MC's that lost contests like that ended up going further than those that won. Das EFX being a prime example.

This fall, actually. And Locksmith's video for Man Up is being shot soon. So expect both of those before the end of the year. And Iron Solomon never flew to New York from Minnesnowta to meet with Diddy. Also, Solomon's single featuring DMC was on HHDX like last week.

Very old school inspired, I'll see if I can dig up a link.

Top 50. Close to top 25. Classic Eyedea IMO...raw and unrefined. Not quite his best showing...not Abilities' either, but still one I play quite a bit out of the Midwest. I give it 4.25-4.5 stars.
