I'm really disappointed at the lack of love for this album. I know everyone hasn't voted yet but still. This is easily one of the dopest albums ever, even for the East.

KJ it's a dope album but just like with Digable Planets, the east is too deep for this album. You say close to 25, but I can't see it. It's close to Top 50 for me, but not Top 50

I own How We Do and to be honest that album is so dope I don't want to fuck it up by buying another CD and not liking it and then thinking Das Efx is wack, so I think I will still with just How We Do, that is classic, will you nominate it slang?

I disagree, but different strokes. It's got 2 GOAT songs in They Want EFX and Mic Checka, and some excellent quotables throughout the album. It's better than either Digable Planets album IMO.

The lyrics are better on Dead Serious but at the same time the production on Livin' Proof outweighs the production on Dead Serious. We're also talking Premo production so that's where the votes come in IMO but I gave both a neither.

damn this album is tough, i think it deserves top 50, and it is a stone cold classic but it falls just outside of my top 50. i might regret this vote later on lol. i like too much other random stuff from this region...

Yeah, How We Do is easily their worst album.

I'm still really shocked at the outcome of this vote. This album has two GOAT caliber songs on it, and tons of verses that will make you break your rewind button.

And to Highsmith, I love Redman but I like Dead Serious slightly more than any of his albums although Whut Thee Album and Muddy Waters are in the same class as DS.

East Coast is one of my favs as well. I like this album just not Top 50 for me IMO. I would probably put the 1st 3 Redman's above this but that's just my opinion.

i dont consider the rhymes completely "wack" on Livin Proof. They are lackluster and avergae but ive always dug Dap and Malachi's voices so they made it enjoyable despite the lack of lyricism

I voted neither for both, but i'd rather listen to Dead Serious over Livin Proof any day of the week. If i'm in the mood for Preemo, I'm spinning Jeru or Gangstarr cause at least the mc's are capable of adding to and carrying a Preemo beat. Quite frankly, there aren't very many albums that have the originality and flavor that can be found on Dead Serious. Livin Proof is a top 100 east coast album(maybe even top top 75). Dead Serious is a borderline top 50 east coast album to me.

Lil Dap is tolerable and he atleast showed up on I'm The Man and Speak Ya Clout. Melachi is horrible. He is at best an average MC and some may not even give him average. He must have known Big Shug or something and they let him be part of the Gang Starr foundation...lmao
