| and this is still the weakest year of the 90's IMO
97 is the second weakest and 98 is on it's heels....the late 90's had some great moments but it was starting to become far and few between

I wouldn't say 98 was on it's heels. 98 was head and shoulders about 97 and 99 IMO

| Black On Both Sides Operation: Doomsday TFA Grey Skies Internal Affairs
Wow, that was a lot harder than I thought. Maybe I was wrong about this year. As for 98, it has at least 5 classic albums to me. 3 of them are top 50 or close (with BlackStar being top 5).

Indeed. Didn't Handsome Boy Modeling School and Uncontrolled Substance drop in 99, too?

| Not sure about Handsome Boy ModelingSchool (i still don't own it) but i'm pretty sure Inspectah Deck did. I lose track of which album's belong to what year around '99. Speaking of Prince Paul i think A Prince Among Thieves dropped this year too |

| I wouldn't say this was a weak year just a average year. But than again when compared to the other yrs from that decade I guess I could see why some would say this was weak. I think 2000-2005 were some strong yrs also but we'll have to wait and see. |
