Mack 10 - Based on a True Story

Mack 10 is not a good rapper IMO. He's Ice Cube lite, minus all the things that make Ice Cube dope.

Mack 10 is a dope average to above average rapper at times in my book. And this was a soild follow up to his debut but neither.

Yeah I know you're a fan, KRob, but I just don't "get it" with this dude. I'd at least consider The Recipe for top 50, only because the guests make up for what Mack 10 lacks...again, IMO.

Never been a big fan of Mack 10. Neither.

I know this sounds wack but I really only liked his Cash Money album, Bang or Ball. It had some tight beats and some fun ride bumpin tracks. I always thought his production was decent on earlier stuff but he's just kind of a boring guy. His Westside Connection work is def the best, hands down.

Neither. I don't think I can listen to a whole Mack 10 album str8 through. He has shined on some tracks but not a full album. Imo

Thats why I said average to above average. A case could be made for both easily. Mack could spit he was just inconsistant at times and locked in Cube's shadow early on. Mack is lyrical and can be damn good like the Westside Connect cd's.

And Wan i'm with you on that Bang or Ball. Its my 2nd fav Mack album.

Lyrical? You're going to have to show me examples. I'll be the first to admit I haven't heard a whole lot from this guy, but enough to make me think he's got a 3rd grade vocbulary.

Almost anybody has a 3rd grade vocab to you professor egg head...lol. Anyway, there's really no point because most listeners are one tracked when they think lyrical.

Ok, but I'm saying...I would be open to dope lines that might not necessarily contain the word "synecdoche".

Synecdoche, it's when you use a part of something to describe the whole thing. It's technically a type of metaphor. Like when people say "D.C." referring to congress.

That verse wasn't bad, but he's in full Ice Cube mode on that song lol. I vaguely remember this song, but apparently not as well as I thought. Definitely better than his post Hoo Bangin' work.

Neither. This isn't even close to Mack 10's best album, and i doubt his best album is top 50.

Oh yeah if you were going by post Hoo Bangin I can see why you felt that way. Have you heard Bang or Ball?
