Hate to say but its socialism in our country that pays for that anyway. Nasa is ran by socialism. People griped when Obama cut funds for Nasa. In a free enterprise Nasa should be able to gain funds by other means. America is more socialist than people think.

Socialism is sharing wealth not allowing certain factions to get rich off the backs of the exploited. It doesn't completly shut down on the idea of being wealthy but it makes the pass more narrow,especially for sheisters. I gangbanged Mary with God in hell and he said he's kinda sad that people think bowing down a certain way and saying a certain string of words is considered a cleansing of "sin".........and this thread actually points out how religion is just an extension of government.....so this thread isnt that ridiculous KJ

KJ doesn't read the bible. I've read it a couple times (yes, cover to cover) and some books a lot more than twice, and Jesus DEFINITELY preached socialism.

Jesus was definitely a socialist. I read a book about the Essenic sect of Judaism that existed during his time. Very compelling evidence that he lived and studied with them. These were the people who wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls. Aside from that, they show the possible origins of much of his teachings. One very clear detail of the Essenes is socialism.

Don't even need to go that far, the Bible itself is a tome of socialist ideals. "It's easier that a camel goes through the eye of a needle than a rich man enters my father's kingdom", there's a jewish law in the Torah about it being okay to steal from a farmer if you're starving, so long as you don't take any food with you.

Also, Jesus as described in the bible, probably never lived. Evidence supports there were probably multiple "messiahs" and that eventually a ton of stories got thrown together and turned into the mythological "son of god" we're familiar with today. 90% of all the more fantastical aspects of Jesus' life (virgin birth, raising Lazerus from the dead, the resurrection) all were in myths that were all floatin around the middle east and africa centuries before Jesus' supposed birth.

The reason the Dead Sea Scrolls and Jesus' educations have been omitted is that they, essentially, prove that Jesus was taight by the Jews, and taught Judaism himself. This book is amazing, I really recommend it.

The gnostic books fill in the "lost years" of Jesus nicely enough. Also, I'm not reading proposed nonfiction about a fictional character. That's like reading a "nonfiction" book about what happens to Harry Potter after he graduates hogwarts. IMAO.

Yeah, I find it fascinating. I don't read books on how to interpret the bible or anything like that, it's a step too far.

The bible is full of hate, rape, racism, sexism, and elitism. The overall messages preached by Jesus are in direct defiance of almost every other "law" in your bible. The only inspiration I draw from it is to be better than the pagans who wrote the garbage.

It's more like a write up of the Essenes, the evolution of a Jewish sect that spawned much of what developed into Christianity. Jesus' involvement is speculation, and the author maintains that stance.

The bible says all sorts of funny stuff. Funny,Bibles are everywhere but yet no one seems to read the daam thing. Like stone rebellious teenagers,kill homosexuals,ect. And the Bible says its only OK for a women to marry twice. After her 3rd divorce she has been soiled and not to marry again. It also states you can humble a female by shaving her head
